Excellent reference and teaching guide for my grandson who is Autistic. He really loves this book.

UPDATE February 13, 2025 Amazon Customer Service was great! They issued my refund, and I received a copy of the book only a few days later. It is very detailed, which is necessary for a newbie like me. Thank you , Amazon Customer Service, for solving the problem! Original Review Seems to be an excellent book with lots more of relevant info, but I’ll never know because I never received it. (Can I please get a response from a human, not a computer program?)

This is just another good reference book in my artist's library. The book is easy to read and easy to follow. It is well laid out and has many examples to help guide your skills along.

前半は見開き2ページで、色鉛筆の技法を解説してあり、 ざっと数えたところ、35項目以上ありました。 なかでもトランスペアレント紙に表と裏から描く技法は、 他の本には載っておらず、本書で初めて知りました。 後半はテーマごとに、多くの画家の作画例を載せてあります。 こんなに多彩な画家の絵を、よく集めたものだと感心しました。 正しい色鉛筆の使い方とか、間違った色鉛筆の使い方があるのではなく、 作画のプロセスと作品を楽しむことが大切だと、著者は前書きで述べています。 全体として、そのような雰囲気の本に仕上がっていると思いました。

Book is brand new, but the seller's packing has damaged the top left corner - partially bent to a triangle shape. It is commonsense to pack it really well with good packaging material when shipping such books! Else it will surely be damaged in shipping.
