Amazon Grocery, Enriched Bread Flour, Unbleached, 5 Lb

This is a lovely bread flour. It has a nice consistency and builds gluten easily and beautifully. I bought it to feed my sourdough starter and bake sourdough loaves. But I’ve also made other things like cinnamon rolls with it. My starter easily doubles or more than doubles after feeding it with this flour and my loaves come out pretty soft and fluffy with a great texture. I included some photos for reference! I’ve found that it rises nicely as well. It’s also more economical, so there is no need to buy expensive flours. No complaints!

Great quality. My wife uses a lot of flour to make sour dough bread and other delicious baked goods. We order 4 at a time and freeze two in two gallon freezer bags. Great price and flavor.

Makes good bread; tastes good, rises well, mixes in well. First time buying flour on line, not sure if I will do it again because of shipping time.

I haven't seen this in other posts so I don't know if this experience was a fluke? This flour is a great buy for the price. Bread flour is more expensive but if you want that perfect bread texture with added protein then the Amazon brand Bread Flour might be your perfect choice. Its price point is excellent and will save your a lot of money. My order arrived in good condition but shipping put a strain on the bags so some flour leaked out. This brand flour has beautiful consistency, appeared to be fresh, did a beautiful rise, and held up exceedingly well for making sourdough bread. Why am I giving only 4 stars? There was an odd, very strong aftertaste with every bite. It was so strong it overshadowed the sourdough flavor I love in my breads. I don't know why or how this was the case. I bought two bags so it will be interesting to see if this was a fluke. If so, I'll gladly update this review to five stars after I've had more time to test. Regardless, I would recommend this flour.

This is very good bread, baking flour very good price. The taste and freshness was good. I bake a lot of bread rolls cakes and this work just fine. I would buy it again only now they’re out of it.

No. Does it make a shockingly good loaf for the price? Absolutely. I bake sourdough multiple times a week, and this store-brand flour genuinely surprised me. It has great strength, tolerates higher hydration better than I expected, and gives me light, open crumb loaves that look good enough to post on TikTok. Perfect for beginners, perfect for everyday baking, and a seriously great value. A dependable workhorse flour that gets the job done. I just wish I knew where it was sourced or had protein percentages. IF there is a Con, then that's the only one.
