For a warm, cozy bed
Great price for a 2-pack of hot water bottles! I've used hot water bottles since I was a kid. These are perfect to use on a cold winter's night to heat up your bed. Read the instructions! You must never add boiling water to your bottle or it can burst. I heat up some water and turn it off before it boils. I also add cold tap water to the empty bottle as an extra precaution. Then I pour the water into a tea pot so it's easier to pour into the bottle. Using a funnel, I add my warm (but not boiling) water. I don't fill it too much so the bottle stays flexible. Then I place it in my cold bed so when I get in, it's nice & toasty! These bottles feel well-made and really work well. These are so easy to use and I feel safer using these then keeping on an electric blanket all night. It's also a great size if you have a tummy cramp or sore muscle and need to apply direct heat for relief. The cap on my old bottle broke, rendering it useless. These caps are longer. I also left on the plastic hooks that arrived with them as it makes them so easy to store when not in use.

The old folks were right! Tuck this in your bed at night and save on your heating bills.
Both were red that arrived. At first there was a strong rubber smell, but no matter, still an excellent purchase. I can't tell you how much money I must be saving by tucking a hot one of these at the foot of my bed at night like the Brits, instead of turning on the heat Or the heater. I've gotten spoiled, sliding it into my bed ahead of time while I brush my teeth to 'preheat' my bed on chilly nights. And they hold the heat Well, sometimes, when I wake up in the morning it's still somewhat warm! Can't wait to try it while camping. Also nice for cramping, or tight muscles... The old folks were onto something with these goodies, for the price of a cup of tea, you have hours of radiant warmth. And they feel quite durable, like they will last a while. And who can beat a two-pack! I look forward to enjoying these for years to come! Spectacular buy! Highly underrated!!!

Heats Wonderfully
We use these at my work all the time. So I decided to ditch my electric warmer, and get these. I gifted one, and kept one. Pros: No need to plug in and be limited to where you can stay warm. Put hot water in, close it up and put it under a blanket- It keeps it so toasty! I’ve used it to keep my toes toasty, my cramps at ease, my little dogs warm, for cold winter days while our wood stove heats the house. It’s endless! Cons: It’s a bit thinner than my work ones, and the smell stayed for quite a while. But it wasn’t too bad.

They leak
These cost $5 apiece, half or less than half the price of most well-reviewed water bottles. I got a 2-pack. The first one reeked of gasoline. Chemical odors don't bother me that much. The odor usually goes away. But I have to agree with the negative reviews that the odor was very unpleasant. It was obviously treated or made out of with some kind of chemical that smells like gasoline. But it only took a couple of minutes to wash most of it away. I had to use a brush because the water bottles are ribbed on both sides. I also put it thru the dishwasher. After all of that, the odor was about 90% gone. After a couple of weeks, the odors seems to be about 99% gone. Interestingly, the second water bottle in the 2-pack had no odor at all. The one that one that had to be washed is blue. The one that had no odor is green. These water bottles seem to work just as well as the more expensive ones. They're slightly smaller and the hole for where you pour the water is much smaller. And both sides are ribbed. For me, these water bottles are adequate backups and a good deal at $5 each. UPDATE: After a few months, the odor has gone away on the blue one. These water bottles get really HOT fast. These are much hotter than the ones that are designed to retain heat. Because they're immediately hot, they also cool off quicker and need to be refilled more often. 2nd UPDATE: Now these are leaking all over the place, even with the cap screwed on tight. Can't be trusted. Reducing from 5 stars to 1 star.

Perfect for Cold-Weather Camping
We bought these for a fall camping trip, and honestly they worked even better than expected. We filled them with hot water right before bed and put one in each sleeping bag. They warmed things up almost immediately and stayed warm the entire night. No leaks, no odd rubber smell, and the material feels thick and well-made. They made such a big difference that we’re officially adding them to our regular camping gear. If you camp in cooler weather, these are a must-have.

They work well and are decent quality. There is a bit of a rubber smell but that's to be expected. It's a decent deal for 2 bags. I use hot water straight from the tap and it keeps me warm for hours. I paid about $14 Canadian which includes tax.
