Gretsch G5220 Electromatic Jet BT Single-Cut With V-Stoptail Bristol Fog

Arrived as described. This is a really beautiful guitar as I have come to expect from Gretch. Capable of multiple playing styles. So far so good.

Somewhat of a mixed review but overall I really like this guitar. Had a few small issues with it. First was shipping - it arrived four days later than it was supposed to which isn’t the end of the world but a little annoying when you are pumped about getting a new guitar and the expectation isn’t met. The second issue is a defect in the clear coat under the strings - it’s not overly noticeable but it’s definitely there and I know it’s there so it does bother me a little. The third issue, it came with the adjustment screws for the bridge pickup completely backed out so I had to remove the strings and pick guard in order to get the pickup out to get them back into place. I was planning to restring it anyways so this wasn’t the end of the world but still worth noting. With all that out of the way… the guitar came almost perfectly setup. Action was perfect, no truss adjustment needed. Intonation was just about perfect only needed slight adjustment on the g and b string. I put a set of NYXT 10-46 strings on it, stretched them out and it’s held tune very well. The guitar is a blast to play and the pickups sound really nice. Very clear and defined tone. I play a wide range of genres and it sounds awesome from Metal to blues to country. For the money this is a really tough guitar to beat in my humble opinion.

There were a couple of minor issues upon arrival. The neck pickup height adjustment screws were not threaded into the pickup. (Easy fix); every fret was protruding creating a significant amount of fret sprout. This was any easy fix for me as I have the correct tools and experience to fix it. However, it would not be fixable for most. Overall the guitar is in like new condition as described. I love the pickups chime; they measure 5.35k at the Bridge and 5.27 at the neck. The neck is straight, frets are level with low action, and it intonates perfectly! Plays like butter. Great guitar. I highly recommend it!

guitar looks great and sounds very nice so far. some of the higher frets do have a little sharp edge on them but not to bad. for the price its hard to complain about. It was packaged well.
