BLUELAND 100% Plastic-Free Laundry Detergent Tablets, 120ct, Free & Clear

I did not expect to have feelings about doing laundry. And yet here I am, standing in my basement, gazing at a small compostable envelope like it's a newborn puppy. Let me back up. I bought these because I wanted to stop hauling a giant plastic jug of blue goo home from the store every six weeks like some kind of detergent sherpa. What I got was a bag of 120 little tablets that look like breath mints for a robot. You toss one in, it dissolves, your clothes get clean, and, this is the part that gets me, there is NO PLASTIC ANYWHERE. Not the bag. Not a scoop. Not a little measuring cup that I lose immediately and then find three years later behind the water heater. Nothing. The packaging is basically a polite compostable bag. I respect it. Does it work? Yes. My clothes come out clean, they smell like nothing (which is the point of Free & Clear. I don't want my socks to smell like a tropical candle), and nothing has exploded, shrunk, or turned into a science experiment. I've got a front-loader and a household level of grime - gym clothes, kid clothes, the mystery towel, and it handles all of it. My one gripe: you have to actually put the tablet in the drum, not the dispenser drawer, unless you enjoy chiseling detergent out of a plastic slot like an archaeologist. Read the directions. Learn from my shame. Also, the tablets are suspiciously fun to stack. I have not confirmed this, but I'm fairly sure my kid thinks they're giant sprees. They are stored on a high shelf. We're fine. Five stars. My laundry is clean, my trash can is emptier, and I will never again perform the ritual sacrifice of a plastic jug cap. Highly recommend.

Fragrance is refreshing and not artificial smelling. Good for sensitive skin and effective in cleaning and getting out mild stains. One tablet works great for most load sizes. Would use two for extra large loads.

I tried this 100% plastic-free laundry detergent, and it met my expectations. It cleaned my clothes well, and I really liked the plastic-free packaging. It doesn't take up much space, so it's very easy to store. My clothes feel soft after washing, and it is gentle on the skin. I think it is a good value for the money.

I appreciate BLUELAND Laundry Detergent Tablets overall - the Spring Bloom scent is lovely and they're convenient to use. However, I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I've noticed that some tablets don't dissolve completely, which can be frustrating. Despite this issue, they still clean well and I like the eco-friendly concept.

I ordered these to try them out against fab tab and Tide Evo tiles. Normally I use free and clear detergent so the fragrance was a bit strong for me right out of the bag, but ultimately when the clothes came out of the dryer they still had a pleasant scent but it wasn’t overpowering. I have super hard water and I usually use one tide Evo tile and one fab tab. I did a medium load and I used two of these blue land tablets because I was concerned that they were so much thinner than the fab tab tablets. As a direct comparison, these are about 1/5 the size of a fab tab laundry tablet. I would compare their size to a necco wafer candy. Overall I think these have more enzyme cleaning power and fab tab tablets might have more water conditioning, thinking about using one of each. Everything that I washed came out fine, there wasn’t any deodorant residue or other stains on work shirts. I didn’t check the bag to see if any had come smashed up, they are not individually packaged like fab tab. The package does say that it is only in industrial compostable and that facilities may not exist in our area (in reality, very few facilities exist in the US for this but it’s nice to know that it could technically be possible). Ultimately if this continues to work well I will probably use it over fab tab and just add some soda powder for water softening. It’s nice that you can get it at target, even fab tab and the tide Evo tiles you have to order online.

We truly love this product. The value for money is great. You receive a good amount for the price and lasts a long time! The fragrance is nice and that is something other less toxic detergents do not have, and that is something important to us! There is no residue left over and no skin irritations. We are repeat customers over 5 times now. I have recommended this to two family members as well

No issues with the tablets really. They dissolve completely and clean well. The smell however is extremely strong. Almost overpowering. Don’t mind buying again but maybe fragrance free or something less perfumy!

we do not have heavily soiled clothes, worked well for us, was convenient to use, fragrance is strong initially, but pleasant after a day or so, we will continue to use it.

It says 120 tablets, but only 79 came undamaged. This product works for my needs but I was disappointed in the amount of crumbling that was delivered. Better packaging could be handy.

These are great. Wash well and I feel better that there are no chemicals. Tin is really cute.

The product works well but I had to buy the biggest package, no smaller ones were available.

I was excited for these and paid what I felt was a small fortune for. I didn’t find they were effective for really dirty clothes but I did still add them as a boost to the laundry. Unfortunately I took them to a really humid place and they all basically fell part and stuck to each other so don’t do what I did and take them to a humid place.
