It fits the 3 1/2 quart, it’s a little big but not bad. We haven’t washed it, but I heard it shrinks a little so that would be even more perfect. **Q: Does it cover the plastic shield that sits on top of the bowl?** A: It was TIGHT with the plastic shield on so I just took it off and put that in the pantry. The cover fits much nicer without it - perfect fit really. **Q: Is this designed to cover the bowl as well as the stand mixer, or just the mixer itself?** A: Yes. The bowl sits on the mixer stand and the cover fits over the whole works. You can store the paddle attachment in a pocket on the side of the cover, and keep the whisk attachment in the bowl.
