I know how helpful pictures are for believability, so I’ll attach one! Don’t judge me, I had no idea what these were for the first couples of weeks. So yes they overran my house for a bit. But that is no longer! We are now free from the clutches of these nasty little 💩’s. I recently moved to Florida, and never in my life had I experienced so many (what I thought were gnats - I’m still unsure what the hell they actually are 😂). For the life of me I couldn’t figure out where the swarms of these pesky little things were coming from. I am originally from up north, where the only things that resemble them that we get are fruit flies. I couldn’t figure out why they were everywhere when none of my fruit was rotten or even remotely bad. Until I did some googling and found out these little demons are called Drain Flies. They live and breed in your drain, lay eggs and come out in SWARMS. I tried every remedy to kill them off. I cleaned my drains, I poured all kinds of chemicals down there. I googled every which way to kill their eggs, catch them. Tried the whole apple cider vinegar, water and soap trick. Where the apple cider vinegar is supposed to attract them, and the surface tension of the soap is supposed to get them stuck and they sink into the water below….noooope! Nothing worked. I’d still see them flying all over the place in my peripheral vision, and to top it off I now had a nasty little vinegar cup hidden in my corner smelling like dooky. I, like every other rational person, ran to Amazon for a solution. And I found LOTS of them. My first go to was going to be that light and fan thing, where the light attracts them and the fan supposedly sucks them in to their demise. I really didn’t care which one I purchased, as long as it worked. I saw the reviews and pictures of this one and figured I’d give it a go, and if this one didn’t work, I’d try the other one I mentioned. Day 1, the first few hours, it caught absolutely nothing. And I thought “greaaat. This thing isn’t going to catch anything and I’m gong to have to deal with this pests for another few days while I wait on another order” Day 2. I woke up, not expecting to find anything, and lo and behold, there were 10-15 flies on it. My prayers had been answered! Day 3. Not going to lie, I forgot I had it plugged in Day 4. I checked again, and this is what I found. The picture attached. Absolutely gross 🤢. Don’t ask, I have no idea how all these nasty little creatures lived in my sink without my knowledge. I must just be that blissfully unaware. I thought I only had a few…clearly I was wrong I’m on like Day 10 now. I waited awhile because I wanted to make sure it continued to work before posting this review. I haven’t seen another fly / gnat besides in the trap, since Day 4, nearly a week ago. Not one. However, the trap is still lit up, and still as sticky as it was on day 1. There is a faint blue glow, it’s a pretty pleasant. It’s just like a night light. It makes 0 noise whatsoever. It’s SO easy to remove and replace the sticky pad. You pull the stick piece up out of the part that attaches into the wall, and slide a new one in. So simple, yet so effective. If you’ve had these nasty little critters flying around your home for far too long now, try it. You won’t regret it. If it doesn’t work in the first spot you put it, move it around. These things supposedly come out of the drains, yet for some reason it catches far more in my bedroom outside the bathroom. So find what works for you. Also, it turns sideways if need be. So if you have a sideways plug, you can still plug it in and swivel it so it’s face up! I hope this review helps some of you choose this, and rid your life of these nasty little buggers!!

I’ve bought this once in April and just bought another. So it’s been about a month, I noticed it works immediately and gives the flying bugs somewhere to go instead of buzzing around. But after about 1week, I started to notice the little flying bugs again. I dislike the price for cart/refill but I appreciate the efficiency. Just know, you will need to keep some on hand so you can rotate as needed to really have it working consistently.

This by far isn’t a paid advertisement nor do I know this company. This is a true statement from a customer. At first I was skeptical and thought it would have been a waste of my money. But no that wasn’t the case at all. To my surprise. This product actually works and I’m buying more as we speak. For the rest of the house. We have dogs and man it ketches the flies too, I absolutely love this product. It seriously eliminated most of the flies. Of course the fruit flies keep coming in, but zevo to the rescue. Stuck it in a corner. Caught some smaller flying things which is nice. A spider even moved in for a bit. Didn't catch anything like a house fly though. Those still have free reign. I guess the issue is that during the day there's too much light and during the night the flies stop being active. So yes, it does catch some things, but no way is it gonna catch anything the size of a fly. Update: So finally it has caught some house flies. Like 5 of 'em. 85% of what it catches are still just the small things like tiny fruit flies and mosquitoes. But after like 2-3 weeks (I'm not keeping track, but a while) I checked and it caught some houseflies. But don't count on it to be your savior--this is not a "plug it in and never have to worry ever again" product. There's still tons of flies it DOES NOT catch, but it will occasionally get one or two.

My parents recommended this when I noticed one in their kitchen, and I tried it out because the price is pretty reasonable. Well, now I’m here to spread The Good News about this product. It works so well, and it’s easy to set up. Takes under a minute from opening the package to having it ready to plug in. I live in a home built in the 40s and it’s not the best insulated, so little critters sometimes get inside. When it starts getting warm, it’s these little gnats that drive me INSANE. This is the only thing that’s made a difference, and I’ve been getting a sick satisfaction out of pulling it out of the wall and checking the sticky strip in the back, lol. I like that it’s curved so that I don’t have to see the nasty bug graveyard visual when I’m in that room (guest bathroom with a window). It’s been about a month and the strip is still super sticky. It’s sturdy and a good weight, and I actually like the color of the light itself. It’s very calming. I’m going to buy more for the rest of the house.

Living in the country, it’s inevitable that you will get a fly or two in the house with the doors opening and closing all of the time. I leave both my back and front porch lights on, so it makes it even worse when those little flying gnats and moths that are hanging out by the light feel they can come inside with you. I have bought fruit fly traps for the little flies that come in with fresh produce, but that didn’t stop the occasional house fly from dive bombing me when trying to watch tv. (They are attracted to light) so of course I had my doubts about the fly-trapping ability of this product, as well, but got it on sale and it came with refills so I thought I’d give it a whirl. Boy am I glad I did! I simply put the sticky pad in the quality built plug in, really easy to do, and the picture I posted was just from plugging it in last night! As you can see, it has attracted three flies I didn’t even know were in my house! I knew one was, but this thing caught three plus all of the little flies that come in when they are near your outside light. There may even be a few fruit flies on it, as well, altho I haven’t had a problem with them so much recently. The item fits nicely in one of my kitchen sockets, and emits a faint blue light that acts not only as a flying insect attractant, but also acts as a nice little night light if needed. It’s quality made, and the refills you simply peel the outer paper off and slip into the holder and starts working the minute you plug it in! I am very happy with this product, and I know you will be, as well! Perfect for places that get the occasional irritating random fly zooming around the house. Have no fear, zero will get the job done!!!

This is one of three brands that I purchased. Two being famous brand companies, such as Zevo (which is P&G), the second was a major famous competitor, and the third was a Zevo knock-off brand. Zevo's country of origin, is Mexico, the other brands country of origin being China. The lighting technologies were all different. Zevo is a proprietary blend of blue LED and UV lighting. The other major brand was pure LED lighting. The knockoff of the Zevo was all UV lighting, all blue in color. All three were plug-ins, not rechargeable (but all three were refillable surrounding their glue boards). All, for the most part are easy to use, although I thought Zevo's refills archaic, bulky, a tad cumbersome, and totally proprietary. The Zevo unit, and the Zevo knockoff, used a single sided catch system. The big name competitor used a double sided catch system, and was smaller and lighter - and better looking. The build quality was okay on Zevo, but not better than the knock-off nor the other smaller famous brand catch system. As for effectiveness, the knockoff was superior to the real Zevo, at least for the critters that I caught. In fact, the knock off even attracted non-designated creatures - which I really appreciated. The Zevo did not. Same with the double sided catch system, it caught non-designated bugs too. So, based on the competition, I thought Zevo's effectiveness disappointing. As for value, the knockoff was superior. Zevo uses their own proprietary boards which have way too much plastic material surrounding them, they take up too much room, have way too much plastic that gets tossed, are expensive or my wallet and really were not superior surrounding being effective. The great thing about the knock-off is that I could even get knockoff glue boards at a fraction of the cost. I found the Zevo the most expensive, for just about everything, so, it loses on value, I want exceptional value, I did not find that with Zevo. Rating? For me, based on the totality, it's a three (3) at best. I really want to avoid exposure to UV lighting, and Zevo does not give that to me, plus it's catch, not as impressive as I was led to believe from the listing. I hope my thoughts added information.

This insect hunter has surprised me a lot. It has a discreet and modern design that does not look like the typical device for bugs, and the blue light effectively attracts insects without the need for chemicals or strong odors. It's easy to install, just plug it in and that's it, and it also doesn't make noise, which is perfect for use at night. Since I have it, I have noticed fewer mosquitoes and bugs in the area. Very good option if you want something practical, clean and safe for the home."

I switched off lights and left it on during the night, next day it captured most of Gnats that were annoying. I did not expect that number of gnats. First night catched 11. *For Arab and Gulf countries, you need an adapter as the switch is an American switch. No need to change the voltage to 220v.

Product not compatible with UAE plugs you need an adapter. Only a couple of flies were caught but plenty are flying around.
