I previously tried one from a different vendor, and the battery will not hold the charge even though it was brand new; so I immediately returned. Then, I got this battery here, and it has worked well so far for 2 weeks. I haven't had any issues, battery keeps and holds the charge just fine even overnight. Thanks, this gives new life to my 4yr old dell 17R. The main issue I have is I still need to press and hold the power button down for about 30s for it to boot. This is a DELL issue, and not a fault of the battery.
