Regarding Difference in Cost of Product
Hello, Though I am very much satified with this product, I am very much disappointed with the way I was chected by during order booking. The price of the product was give as $ 59.95 on website, whereas when I booked, I was charged 69 GBP, which is almost double of the price shown on website.

Läuft wie erwartet
Was gefällt mir? Die Funktion. Was nicht? Der Preis. Genau genommen nutze ich damit nur die Funktion die früher jeder HUB hatte. Was will ich meckern....tut was es soll.

A bit too expensive substitute for olschool Ethernet HUB but usefull
I find it somewhat funny seeing that these "monitoring" tools are now somehow special since we used to have Ethernet HUB everywhere couple years ago. But since I did not find Hub from anywhere this will have to do. Sure it is very usefull tool with Wireshark. I managed to monitor Modbus TCP traffic withot any issues.

Label the ports once you get it
Works perfectly as a TAP to use for Wireshark troubleshooting Ethernet-connected products. Connect one of the ports to the device you wish to monitor, another of the ports to the network, and a 3rd port to your computer running Wireshark in "Promiscuous Mode". The only real challenge is identifying which of the 5 ports you need to use for the 3 aforementioned purposes. Suggestion... Read the directions carefully, get it working, and then use a label maker or permanent marker to mark the ports so the next time you use the product you don't need to re-read the directions. Overall, great product at much lower cost than comparable dedicated TAPs.

Great for VoIP techs.
A very handy addition to any VoIP technicians tool box. Make capturing packets a cinch (PCAP WireShark) The unit is hard wired for port mirroring so you don't need to do any special programming or configuration. And, the USB power adapter (powered from your laptop) means you don't need a power outlet around. Also can double as a 4 port dumb switch.
