To charge the case, you need to use the provided cable or any USB-A type cable. It will work on older, low-power chargers or on some newer USB-C adapter with USB type A port in addition. If you try to use a USB-C charger and USB-C cable, it will not work. It is what you pay for, you cannot expect a 5-start product for the price, so expect to deal with some issues or go get an original one and deal with the $ pain.
