KEEN Men's Newport Closed Toe Comfortable Durable Leather Water Sandals, Bison, 11

Comfy and practical sandal, I'm not a sandal fan and this is my first pair.But I love em. They fit well and I find them not tight and easy to get on and off now they have given a bit. I've been wearing all summer,my new go to footwear. I have walked many miles in these, very comfy and showing no signs of wear. They don't pick many small stones up as you walk , probably due to the closed toe, this is best part, I don't like toes on display...arghhh. So after having worn for several months almost non stop, I'm happy to give a 5 star review.

I've had a pair of these for about ten years and the the sole is starting to detach, so have bought a new pair, couldn't really understand why they were quite a bit cheaper on the Keen site on Amazon than going directly to Keen - anyhoo for my misshapen feet these are a real bonus, I recently wore them for two weeks solidly, not to bed tho, on holiday in Borneo, walking and going out in the evening and on the flights and didn't have one single issue, no squashed toes or blisters .. nothing!, on previously holidays to Europe I've worn them walking on dusty / rocky trails again with no issues , I just wish I could wear them in the winter as well , maybe I'll try them with sealskins... that'll look nice .....

Comfiest pair of sandals I’ve ever had although relatively heavy for sandals

These are great for hiking. They are made of good quality leather which makes them more resistant to abrasions and damage in general. It will also take some time to 'break them in' so to speak. The closed-off toes is a perfect protection from those sharp rocks you might stumble upon on your way. They arw waterproof so perfect even when the ground is boggy. They are a bit on the heavy side as fsr as sandals go. But I guess there's pros and cons to having them sturdy and rugged.

I have had a pair of these for years. They were brilliant but finally gave up the ghost. I had to return a first pair as, having chosen what it’s normally the most accurate size for my feet, they were too tight. I went for half a size up and have kept them although I could have gone a size higher still.

Bought my exact size. They were a bit to start with but great now.

My hubby is very choosy when it comes to footwear. He LOVES these! In fact, since they arrived they have been his chosen footwear! Highly recommend.

Great Best sandals on third pair . First pair used for ten years , until sole wore smooth but still wear around garden . Second pair blue and going strong still .

C'est ainsi que je résume les qualités liées aux sandales KEEN. Celles-ci sont assez volumineuses, de bonne facture, le cuir est de belle qualité. Ces sandales enveloppent légèrement plus le pied que les autres Keen. Pensez à prendre une taille au-dessus comme toujours avec cette marque. Je sais que ces sandales vont durer, de par mon expérience avec la marque mais aussi de par l'impression de solidité et de fiabilité qu'elles dégagent. Foncez !

Great and holding up real good, even use them in winter time with socks

Tienen muy buena calidad, son muy robustas y el pie se encuentra cómodo y bien sujeto. Hay que tener en cuenta que es un calzado hecho para soportar rigores, por tanto podrían resultar pesados para algunas actividades.

I hate to admit it, but I'm becoming more and more like my dad. He has several pairs of Keens (buys a pair about every 2 years) and thinks they are the greatest. I bought these when I noticed they were selling for an unusually low price ($80). I didn't buy them because I wanted them... I bought them because my dad loves them so much I figured I would too, although I definitely did not want to! Well... They're the greatest thing ever lol. I wear them literally every single day. Review and useful information: I wear these everyday as slip ons. No socks and I walk on the heal, but they're still comfortable and let my feet breathe. The part in contact with the sole gets sweaty, but at least it's leather so you get used to it. Because of the design, walking on the heal hasn't damaged them at all. When I go to the store or take a walk I tend to throw on some black cotton socks and honestly they breathe better than this way and tend to be less clamy. The grip these things have is incredible. I walk on trails and around the steep banks of water almost daily and these have much better grip than most shoes, and that's while I'm still walking on the heal! When I put my foot properly within the shoes I can walk anywhere including up the steeply inclined dam wall that EVERYONE slips on. I really can't say enough about how impressed I am with these. I guess dad was right lol. On the downside, these are sized terribly. I have somewhat wide feet and usually wear size 11 in shoes. Sometimes even 10.5 fit me, but I had to get these in 12 and return the first ones I bought. That said, these now fit me perfectly, so I think that means they are narrow for the average 12, because I fit these in width and length. Supposedly these are waterproof, but they are made with genuine leather and of course water goes right through the gaping holes, so I have no idea what they mean by that. There is no such thing as "waterproof" leather. When these are old and I have a second pair I'll feel more comfortable using these in the reservoir and creek walking, but for now I only do that with them occasionally. I tried buying a couple pairs of knockoff keens on Amazon for water use, but they all were terrible, so I returned them. I wash them every couple months in the washing machine. I use Ivory brand mild soap and put them in the wash by themselves so the agitator can toss them around but not abuse them. I oil the leather when they are dry and this has worked well for me so far. Like I said earlier, my dad tends to get a pair of Keens every 2 years and currently has 3 pairs. He uses the older ones for dirtier jobs so to speak. Only his newest ones are this particular leather model. He has had one pair that completely separated from the sole in only about a year and he never uses his in water or washes them at all. Apparently in at least some models they have used bad glue, which is why I am most afraid to use these in water until they are my secondary pair. These are literally the best day to day shoes I've ever had and the best water shoes as well. I guess they are called sandals, but they are actually just well ventilated shoes.

These shoes are great for walking on the beach and daily walking in the summer. Amazingly comfortable. I would recommend one size up. I usually wear 11US, but I bought 12US.
