Be aware that this product is suppossed to have quality Bridgelux LED's and not epistar or other alternative LED's (blue hue is indication that the LED's are not Bridgelux). The LED Bulb will direct light more accurate instead of spreading the light in any direction and the light seems amazing clean and deliberate compared to halogen or other traditional type bulb. It will last five times longer and are shock resistant. In case you drop the bulb it will likely still work. The bulb will not generate UV and heat so you will avoid burns from touching the bulb. The bulb therefore will not melt your lighting fixture or discolor it. The bulb has a 60 degree spread (beam angle), 7000K color temperature (cool white) and 440 Lumen light output. This bulb have 4 high powered individual Bridgelux LED pieces. The light bulb will unfortunately not work in all 12V power sources and you may have to replace the transformer/adaptor main unit if it has a problem with low load (it may work if you leave one halogen bulb to carry some load). The bulbs application is perfect for home, restaurants, shops, office, etc. Also available in color temperatures warm white 3200K. The Manufacturer in China contacted me and explained that the ring is threaded with fine threads that can come loose in shipment, I fish it out of the trash, and it did thread back on but it became part of a larger issue where I bought 20 more. This supplier Goodia did everything in their power to make the orders right and the first one was not there order but their product. The asked if I could pay the shipping if they replaced all 20 units, I agreed and then sent me their PayPal account, it was bizarre watching $15 American convert to Chinese Icons for pay. This woman Jane, did everything to correct a bad situation. The new design were slightly shorter like a real halogen MR16 the light seem brighter and whiter than the older units. The two units I replaced in a string of 15 overall look great still working after the first week, where the old design would have had least one fail. I think they have found the bad component's and fixed the engineering issue. I was going to dispose of the old 20 units. I ask Jane to find out what the issue was so maybe I can repurpose these instead of filling the landfill. She responded even with her day off and I am waiting till she returns to work so she can check with the engineers.I was right about initial quality, but these people want to be a five star provider with Amazon and will do whatever it takes to make it right.Doug in Scottsdale AZ ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sitting on the fence on this one for now *by J***D on Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2012* I really like LED technology in general (see my other review on Kichler outdoor lights) and would love to replace all of my landscaping / tree uprights with these, but they're just a bit too blue for my tastes (7000 Kelvin). The halogens I use for uplighting are closer to 3000K, and produce a very nice orange-yellow light in the trees. I'm uplighting a single tree with one of these and, by contrast, it looks more than a bit industrial. To be fair, the product description says "7000K cool" right up front, so I knew what I was getting, I'm just not sure which scenarios it would be appropriate for (perhaps uplighting geological features, large amethyst crystals or such)? I'll give it 4 stars for being efficient, bright, and performing as advertised, I just won't uplight another tree with one of these! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Almost too bright! *by M***T on Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2011* Bought these (5) to replace 20 watts outdoor lights in my yard to light the side of my house which is very dark. These are slightly longer and just fit in the landscape lights but produce WAY more light than the regulat halogene 20W that they replace. These are actually almost too bright,, i am goimg to have to remove one of them and place it elsewhere. Actually i will probably buy more for the rest of the house...Definitely a good spending, tehy seem of very good quality too!- Update-These have been working very well, so well in fact that I ended buying an additional 10 and 10 Malibu lights to light the rest of the house at night, all this for the equivalent of a single light bulb for 15 times the equivalent of 50W around the house.Still working very well, no problem so far.
