Learn how to use it.
I saw all of the bad reviews for this product and I almost didn't buy it. I didn't want it just for the wifi but I have a better understanding of why so many people don't like it. Turn your background settings off. All of the programs updating and running in the background maybe causing you to use more data than you planned on using. I did a few other things to ensure I had a great environment for this to work but I was able to live stream a boxing event for 4 hours and 57 minutes with this and an after market power supply. With 0 dropped frames and I used about 13GB of data.

Defective Device & Zero Quality Control
I ordered a renewed NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 Pro expecting it to work properly, but the unit I received was unusable. With a new T‑Mobile SIM installed, it immediately showed MM#27 APN errors, would not connect, and couldn’t find any T‑Mobile signal. Choosing the T‑Mobile APN profile made no difference. I spent over 5 hours troubleshooting with both carriers. AT&T confirmed the device should be unlocked and even provided an unlock code, but there was no option anywhere in the interface to enter it. T‑Mobile checked the IMEI and said it still appeared locked on their side. After further checks, AT&T determined the device itself was faulty. For something sold as renewed, this showed clear signs of poor testing before being sent out. No customer should have to spend hours trying to get a basic setup to work. The unit I received was non‑functional and a complete waste of time. I am returning it and hope renewed products are checked more carefully.

Good deal so far.
It works as good as hot spotting my Iphone. But the ATT signal at my house isn't great. I leave mine plugged in all the time, with the battery out. That is the only way I get a strong enough signal to work the way I want. I leave the cover off and have a small cooling fan going on it all the time. I also have an external antenna hooked up to it all the time. If I don't do all of this, it won't work. I also have to check on it every few days because I get spam messages to the phone number that goes to it. If I don't delete the messages or it won't work. When I purchased this, ATT didn't have a wireless router like they do now. That might work better than this, but I paid a lot for this and I am making it work. I have a lake place that has a better ATT signal and it works better out there. When I have a good ATT signal I can have 10 different wifi items hooked up. When the signal is not good, I have to go around and turn off Wifi on a few things, until I get enough signal to run what I want.

Plenty of Features and Connectivity speed
I bought this for a connection at a rural ranch for Wifi via Mint Mobile. It was unlocked AT&T device and didn't take long to setup and get working. I did find the following: 1. Very power hungry so battery isn't useful for long. I keep it plugged in at our cabin. 2. Wifi was weak so I turned off the wifi and paired it with a Eero 6E+ and now it has range and great speed. I use it just as a modem to get connected to 4G/5G. This has worked really well for my use case.

Was skeptical, but has worked well.
So I was going to go on a deployment, however, I did not want to spend nearly 1k on one of these things and wanted to get 5 G access, hence me buying this refurbished one. I thought, worst case was that I just returned it. It was annoying to set up, had to look up the manual and set it from nrbroadband to broadband, but once I did, I could swap my SIM card from my phone to this and get wifi consistently. Some thingremember mind that the speed relies heavily on your data plan and LOS to cell towers. If your phone can get a good signal, likely this will too. Currently, I have to keep mine near a window, and I consistently reach 100 Mbps. I've used it to download AND play games, even FPS games. This solution is only for non-permanent wifi necessities while you're moving around. For me, I would have had to buy barracks wifi to get internet or refill hotspot data again and again. This is a great solution for that. I would not use this in place of something like Starlink, cabled internet, or even wifi from buildings (unless bad, like where I am writing this.) This works best if you are: Traveling (1 week to a few months) Have a good Dataplan Need a consistent and reliable internet will be in places with good cell reception The device itself was fine, I had no issues with it. Though with these being refurbished, your results may vary.

100% False Advertising
This device was sold as compatible with T-Mobile, however, once I opened the box, I found a label saying "Unlock Failed". This was a complete waste of money. If I had wanted to use exclusively AT&T, I would've bought something for AT&T and not listing T-Mobile. Please use the proper advertising, as this was really unfortunate to receive for our business.

If you're not paying for a 5G hotspot plan, you will NOT get more than 4G.
I had the previous generation (Netgear M1) before upgrading to this M6... and hoped that by dropping in a sim for a line on my account that gets 5G speeds @unlimited... I could use this for work while camping or traveling. The mobile carriers can identify this device and it will not work without a 5G HOTSPOT specific line on your ATT acct, which they dont make available with unlimited data. My 5G Unlimited phone sim in this device will only connect over the 4G network. I get no performance improvement over the M1 in terms of speed. -- There are some nice features on this version. The touchscreen is unexpectedly handy, and the Wifi performance and security feature set is better than the M1, which is not really a great benefit when camping in the boonies. I felt like my purchase of this was a mistake for thinking I could configure the 5G APN and make it work on 5G, but the carriers... ATT,Verizon, and Mint Mobile at least, blocks the device after only a minute. I talked myself into not feeling bad about the purchase because it has a few more bells & whistles than the M1... but realistically, I'm capping out at 5Mbps down in area with great coverage, which is what I got on the M1. And an external antenna is highly recommended.

Works most of the time but SMS messages goof things up
Purchased this device back in February 2024 to use while traveling. Using SIM card not eSIM (AT&T). Had issues with the device overheating when the battery was installed and especially when plugged in. There's no way for the heat to vent and it gets HOT. Decided to remove the battery and go AC mode, which makes a big different with the heat but it still gets pretty warm. Have a USB powered fan pointing at it with the battery out / cover off, and that seems to help. Connects to AT&T just fine but have to reboot the device every day or so because it starts to get laggy. Also, device starts to act up when it receives SMS messages and there is no way to disable SMS. Can always tell when an SMS came through because the internet becomes unresponsive. Not the best option for running security cameras because of this issue of unreliability. However, this device has been a game changer when able to connect to 5G service - very good speeds, handles upwards of 16 devices simultaneously connected via wifi.

Funciona bien
