Bayonetta 2 (Nintendo Switch) (Nintendo Switch)

I also played Bayonetta 1 on Xbox One (X360 version), and Bayonetta 1 & 2 are definitively adults only, I would not recommend it for really young people. I was a bit annoyed not to be able to play the second when it was released on Wii U, I didn't own this console. I got the Switch and was hoping one day Platinium Games would port at least this one on Switch and my wish came true. What to say after few days. Well, as the first, I'm so pleased to be able to play it everywhere else than at home ! But as the first one, it really needs to be mastered. I'm a bit more a casual gamer than a hardcore one, but it really deserves to get your hands on it, and shape / improve the skills. The more you do, the better you get rewards ! And yet, it is super satisfying, when mixing the combat styles offered with the different weapons you unlock through the game and the various difficulties. Clearly, the plot is not that deep, but hey, Platinium Games has never denied it, and this game is really into its characters' designs, the fights intensity and the dialogs. OMG, I love these dialogs, so funny, with Bayonetta's posh accent, this is so catchy ! Graphically, yes, for some, not Antialiasing as it comes straight from Wii U portage could be seen as a downside, but first, in portable mode on the 6 inch screen, it is clearly not an issue, as you can see the "defaults", plus the pace is so fast that you can't linger over. In dock mode, with my 50" TV screen, yes they're clearly visible, but who cares, the game looks still great and it is so fluid, no frame drop, which is preferable when you'll understand how hectic / furious is the intensity level within certain combat phases. Plus the game keeps us in suspense in terms of poignancy, there are only few moments of calm down but that's for the story evolution. Also, the fact that Nintendo saved the franchise (Sony Sega Microsoft booed the development because of lack of audience despite the great reviews of the first opus), the games offers different costumes inspired from the Nintendo games franchises, is genuinely cool ! I'd recommend it for those who are real fan or those who wants to play refreshing games far from the same bunch we've been served for too long. But it would make sense if some could be reluctant when having to pay 45 quids and already have it on Wii U.

Bayonetta 2 is just as good as the first Bayonetta which is included in digital download version and is just as good as the PS3 and XBOX 360 version which I also have and I thoroughly recommend getting this game if you have a Nintendo switch console

Incredible controls, feedback and responsiveness, combined with a bunch of replay, great cutscenes, voice acting and story make this a must have. Whilst I will admit it's becoming a little tiresome to see Wii U "definitive", "ultimate" and other-adjective re-hashes... so far I've repurchased a several and not been disappointed a single time. This is a 720p masterpiece and looks incredible on my 55" 4k TV. A higher resolution would have been nice, but unless you sit a few feet from the screen, it won't be noticeable due to how the gameplay is paced. The voice acting, cutscenes and humour are on point. And whilst the Korean lad that played the part of Loki falters at times, generally he does a very good British impression. Hellena Taylor of course, is sublimely good in her role, though occasionally the sound effects and music drown her out which can surely be fixed with a patch. Amiibo functionality is a nice bonus, and reduces the severe grinding necessary to unlock and purchase items (hello N2 Elite); and along with the array of Nintendo themed outfits, they aren't as superfluous as Mario Odyssey's "dress-up" as features and power-ups are to be had. My only gripe, which is a small one, is the Muspelheim areas. These can be utterly punishing and require the dedication of speedrunners that I just can't muster at my age. Oh, and the price point is too high, this should have been around 30 quid or less.

This is such a wonderful hack and slash and easily one of the most fun games to come out as of late. From the mind of the guy behind DMC if you like fast paced action and over the top scenarios ten this us for you. It plays smoothly both docked and undocked and is gorgeous game to boot. I dare not spoil much but theirs alot of variety here in all aspects from bosses yo levels to enemies. Its a feast for the eyes. Trust me you get to some parts and your jaw will drop. Its a quality game with wonderful music and deep gameplay. Unfortunately if you played this on wii u then their is only the prospect of taking it on the go as that's the only real change minus some graphic enhancements and lesser loading times. Its a must buy if you've not played this yet. Its not a sim or another COD or realistic experience. Its a game. A very fun one and one that revels in that fact. Also I must mention the original game comes with this but its an 8gb download version. Only the 2nd game is on the cartridge. That's a pretty awesome game too :P

Both Bayonetta games are amazing and the special edition's price its ok considering what's included. Unfortunately mine came with factory damage on the card holder case, a corner wasn't properly bended which provoked a tear in the black case. I remove one star for that. IMPORTANT NOTE: You need a EU account on the eshop to download Bayonetta 1, making one it's easy just follow the instructions on Nintendo's Account website, remember to select an european country and use a different email.

These games are fantastic. They both run wonderfully on Nintendo Switch and if you had yet to pick either up on Wii U or older consoles then you owe it to yourself to play them. Both feature gorgeous visuals, soundtracks, enemy/character designs, and Bayonetta herself is one of the best female characters in recent memory. Shes is strong, funny, and a joy to play as. The combat is fast and fluid and incredibly deep. World exploration is kind of simple and the levels are linear but as soon as a fight begins so does the fun. Bayonetta 2 is the better title but both still hold up considering the original is showing a little age. With Bayonetta 3 in development now is a great time to catch up or replay these crazy, over the top, masterpieces.

This is by far one of the best games on the switch I love bayonetta this game is amazingly good and addictive I completed the first game in two days I just couldn’t put it down the moves the story the uniqueness of the character the gameplay the controls there all perfect the graphics are beautiful in both hand hold and docked modes and the way bayonetta acts in the game is truly brilliant she a very very strong character the boss fights are challenging but brilliantly done and this is definitely one of my favourite games of all time on any platform I highly highly recommended this game it’s worth every penny and it’s amazingly good

Amazing game. Superb action and style. I played bayonetta on my PS3 and loved that game. Very much like devil may cry in terms of aesthetics and combat. Fast paced and fluid. Unfortunetly I couldn't play bayonetta 2 when it came out as I didn't have a Wii U. Definitely recommended and great being able to play this portably.

This is a classic and a must buy if you have a switch. The code that came along is for euro region, hence just go to your Nintendo Online profile and change region to any European country. Then you can go to your Nintendo store in switch and claim the code!

Ce n'est pas nécessaire de revenir sur l'immense qualité des deux opus de la saga Bayonetta, qualité déjà démontrée dans la quasi-totalité des articles qui en parle. Parlons de ce collector: Le coffret fait la taille (un peu plus grand) qu'un boitier Switch mis dans le sens "paysage". Il se compose d'un fourreau en carton rigide orné du symbole des deux armes que Bayonetta utilise dans les deux opus ("Arsenal démoniaque" dans le 1 et "L'amour est bleu" dans le 2), légèrement mis en brillant. Le coffret s'ouvre en glissant vers la droite, et découvre une boite en carton très sobre, noire, avec le titre et une trace de baiser sur le haut. Cet aspect fait très "cadeau de luxe". A l'intérieur, on trouve bien évidemment le jeu n°2 ainsi que le code du jeu n°1, dans une boite Switch ayant une jaquette réversible aux couleurs soit du 1er, soit du 2ème jeu. Ensuite vient un des plus beau Steelbook jamais vu: le resto représente la Bayonetta du premier jeu dans la même pose que celle du 2ème sur la jaquette normale, et au verso la Bayonetta du deuxième jeu dans une pause bien connue du premier jeu. Bien vu Nintendo! Les deux Bayonetta sont spot-gloss, ainsi que le titre, avec des reflets métalliques sur la lune en arrière-plan. L'intérieur reprend le logo des deux armes, avec reflets métalliques. Après, on trouve trois planches de stickers, une correspondant au premier jeu, une autre au deuxième, et la dernière représentant les personnages en format pion de jeu. Toujours sympathique de trouver ça. Enfin, les fameuses cartes Versets. Un peu sceptique avant d'ouvrir le collector, je m'étonne de trouver une boite en carton colorée comprenant plus d'une vingtaine de cartes magnifiquement dessinées sur du papier glacé de haute qualité et très épais. Pensant trouver un gadget à la place, je me retrouve avec un très beau lot de cartes qui rappelle Bayonetta 2. Superbe surprise! En conclusion, ce collector Bayonetta fait honneur aux jeux et est un must-have pour les fans de la saga. L'aspect petit de la boite permet de donner un air très classe à la boite qui veut ressembler à un cadeau chic dans un écrin. Le contenu est de très bonne qualité et montre que Nintendo travaille vraiment à mettre à disposition des collectors dans lesquels on ne regarde pas à la dépense, là où d'autres lésinent de plus en plus sur la qualité pour des prix toujours plus élevés.
