Onkyo TX-NR5100 7.2 Channel Network A/V Receiver (2021), Black (Renewed)

I did a ton of research and landed on this renewed onkyo receiver! Paid under 300 for it to! I love the the height speaker Jack's can be used as Dolby Atmos up firing speakers (check our Klipsch towers or upfire speaker bookshelfs) which is what I'm saving for now.. Or you can use 2 additional read side speakers with the same jack just set up differently in speaker set up section of the settings menu. I have the 2 rears now but will soon have the upfire Dolby Klipsch speakers. I also loved that like my last Yamaha receiver it comes with the microphone that listens and measures the time each speaker takes to get to your ear level/placement and Auto adjusts so that all speakers sound converges at your sitting area at exactly the correct time. It makes a HUGE difference from pre to post set up. It's actually insane how much difference it makes. The settings menu for speaker placement shows a room diagram on the screen to decide where your speakers are and it's just super easy to use and super cool. We LOVE it so far! It's a huge upgrade from my last 1080 receiver and worth every penny. It foes 4k 120hz and can upscale to 8k 60hz in case that becomes the new norm down the road. It's definitely worth trying out for your next home theater upgrade!

This product was defective after I set it up to replace my unit I bought from Best buy, the subwoofer failed to work. Or should I say the output. This was a refurbished unit. I don't think anyone bothered to look at it

There's a lot of AV receivers in this class, but the 5100 is a solid performer. Zero issues, but a fresher look for the app would be welcome.

Pretty nice receiver. Have it set up with a Klipsch surround sound system. Takes a while to dial in the sound perfectly as there are a ton of configuration options, but a nice system. Satisfied with the sound, options and functionality.

Or worth buying used. It took me a long time to figure out there was no sound to my speakers. After hooking all the speakers up and thinking there was something wrong with the Sonos port. I changed out the receiver to an old one I had in the garage and everything worked. Do yourself a favor and just buy a new one.

Bought this to replace an older receiver. Set up of this Onkyo was easy. Loved the sound and the onscreen menu. It was perfect, unti it decided to quit working. It would turn on, but would not pass through any video. Switched cables, inputs, same thing. Tried the on screen menu and it would flicker on and off. Thank gad there was a 90 day return as I had this just over a month.

As advertised. Lots of sound options to choose from. I’d say that it may be too many. That might be my only problem. I don’t have tons of time to seek the most perfect sound for each application but if you have the time it is there for you. Sub woofer can be a little overwhelming in some settings and not pronounced in others.

I was worried that it would be questionable. It came well packaged and looks brand new it's connected to 4, r14 klipsh for height and rears, 2 klipsh r51 fronts and a klipsh r-52c center and,klipsh r-120 subwoofer sounds amazing, I hear stuff in movies I never heard before very user friendly and a lot of cool features.

Llegó empacado como si fuera nuevo, no le vi ningun detalle estetico y con sus manuales y accesorios completos bien empaquetados. Funciona perfectamente y tiene un super sonido. Me tomó tiempo lograr ponerlo a punto pero una vez que te familiarizas es mas facil. Lo unico malo fue el envío ya que estuve rastreando y no se porque razon pasó por demasiados puntos (viajó por la mitad de EU jajaja pasó 2 veces por florida) hastá pensé que podia llegar golpeado por tanta manipulación pero afortunadamente llegó bien.

Tenia mis dudas de la compra por ser reacondicionado, pero el equipo llego sin detalles en el chasis y se escucha de lujo, lo único es que tuve que bajar el manual de la página de Onkyo pero eso es el equipo esta funcionado sin problema alguno.

Me llegó como nuevo no tenía ningún raspón o algo mal, tenía todos sus accesorios lo estuve probando y tiene un excelente sonido es potente este receptor onkyo. Para ser reacondicionado fue una ganga en el precio que lo agarre saludos.

Muy buena compra, ofrece buenas características para una sala de teatro y a muy buen precio.

Es un equipo muy completo, tiene diversas configuraciones de sonido que se adaptan a cualquier calidad y origen de sonido.
