Can i use this adapter to provide internet to wan port on router by tethering an android phone via its usb-c port ?

Never tried it on my Note 9 until now. Turned off WiFi and plugged the adapter into my Cat 5 cable connected to my router and was able to browse the internet. Typically I use the adapter with my Chromebook.

Will this work on a asus zenpad z380 ?? It has " greyed out " ethernet section. Turns on when plugged in.
