No, it does have a menthol smell and may have some in it but it has eucalyptus in it and also has the MSN which is beneficial. This stuff works, great product.

What's the difference, other than the obvious, between the cold and the hot products in terms of relief?

This product is only cold, not hot. Also out of all the products out there that I have tried which is several, it is the only one that does not leave a residue on your skin or clothing.

What does it smell like?

it is a mild menthol smell that leaves fairly quickly. Not like other creams or rubs that you reek of for hours. This product is a god send to me.

How does this differ from Biofreeze or Maxfreeze?

I don’t know about maxfreeze but cryoderm is a 10% solution and biofreeze is 5%.
