Best safety glasses for detail work
As a tool room machinist, I do a lot of detailed work and inspection. I am very satisfied and highly recommend these glasses. The safety glasses themselves are well constructed and of good quality. The flip down magnifier that clips onto them has a good, clear magnification and the ease of use is excellent. I was concerned they might feel a bit too heavy but they are actually quite comfortable to wear throughout a work shift. If you need magnification intermittently, I highly recommend these.

These are great on two fronts.
My daughter just started wood shop in high school. She's been to my garage wood shop a few times. It isn't always easy getting scolded by her. She's asked where my safety things are. For me, it's hard because I need cheater glasses to read my tape measure. And switching between my cheaters and safety glasses gets old quick. But with these awesome glasses, I have no excuses, and don't make any. I use them every time i walk into my shop. Great Job Carson. Life long customer unless I get eye surgery.

Almost perfect.
These don't feel much heavier than a standard set of safety glasses to me. Its great being able to just flip down the magnifier rather having to swap out my safety glasses for readers, every ten minutes, or worse, wear a pair of large goggles that barely fit over my readers and fog up too easily. And the price is reasonable enough to buy extra pairs, for when you lose the magnifying attachment, which while reasonably well made, will still catch things and pull off easily, especially when flipped up. I was a bit confused by the 1.5 power/2.5 diopter lingo. I vaguely understand the difference between magnification and diopter. It seems to mostly affect the range of magnification, in that the degree of magnification varies between the two distinctions the farther you are away from what you're looking at: 1.5 mag will be clearer at 5-8 feet than 1.5 diopter, but they'll be about the same clarity at 1-2 feet away. For 5-8 feet distances, 1.0 diopter would be more equivalent to 1.5 mag. These glasses however, have almost the exact same magnification properties of my 2.5 mag readers in terms of reading clarity up close. So, I'm at a loss as to why they claim only 1.5 power. Regardless, they currently suit my needs well in that department. Any work beyond arms length becomes blurred. But you just flip them up and keep going. These are not bifocal magnifiers. The entire flip down lens magnifies, which is what makes them so ideal compared to other alternatives for those who just need something for up close, not for a distance yet. I haven't used these in the summer yet, but based on just a few warmer winter days here in the humid south, I suspect a head strap will be crucial in warm weather, if you're not working in the AC. The nose piece doesn't feature any rubber coating to keep them from slipping down your nose when you start to sweat. That might be just as well, as flexible rubber pieces tend to fall off, and fixed ones tend to dissolve from the salt in your sweat after a season. Unfortunately, snugging them against your face will cause them to cloud a bit, even if you're not noticeably perspiring. A foam or rubber top that keeps the lenses farther away from your brow would probably go a long way toward alleviating this. Though, ideally, I'd also love to see these offered with a foam liner that fits against your face, fully encircling each lens. I fell in love with such when riding motorcycles, as in addition to not fogging up nearly as easily from sweat, it keeps the air out of your eyes, something that would be extremely helpful in fields where wearing a dust mask along with goggles is routine.

Ok
These glasses are ok, nothing too special but they get the job done. In my opinion they’re a little flimsy and don’t stay up well. They also get greasy easily but are difficult to clean off. Overall 3 out of 5 since they’re better than just eh, they’re ok.

Perfect for woodworking over age 50!
These safety/ magnifying glasses solved the problem of having to constantly take reading glasses off and on and often losing them somewhere in our shop. They came with a nice case and the magnetic closure allows me to open or close them with one hand. Very pleasantly surprised at the high quality for this low price!

No more, onoffonoff with the cheaters! Finally!!
For the price, for the quality, for the SAFETY, I am so glad I found these! The flip up feature of the magnification makes me feel like I'm not an over 50 man who can't see anymore! I like them so much, grumpy old me decided to write a review - that's saying something!!

very nice!
Works well for surgery. The flip-up lens makes it easy to switch between close up work and regular views, rather than having to remove the entire unit. So far no scratches and have been using the case it came with.

Just okay
The fit is snug and has nice wrap-around lenses, but they could be a little clearer. The magnifiers are nice, but they are clip-ons. The holding case is nice for storing them, and you can hang it on the wall. They are lightweight, but I felt they were overpriced.

This is the second set I have purchased because I lost the magnifying part from the first pair. The safety glasses themselves are good but need adjustable nose guides to help locate the glasses properly on your face. The flip-down magnifying lenses need a stronger clamp mechanism to hold them more securely, especially when flipping them up. They also could have a little more range to be flipped up higher out of your line of sight. A plus is that I can put the magnifying lenses on my safety sunglasses.

These glasses work great!! I just received mine the other day and tried them on. When looking around with the magnifying glasses on it’s tough to see 1.5-2 feet away but when looking up close these glasses work great. My mom tried them, she needs reading glasses and she could easily read everything on a small piece of paper but when she took off the glasses she couldn’t read anything. It would be nice if it was a little more magnified but these work great.
