Durable

Pretty thick. Perfect grip, finally. Did not break or fall apart when pulled by reactive dogs. Does not hurt my palm when being pulled by reactive dogs. Not too long, again, perfect length for reactive dogs. Material seems durable. Been a few months of use, still holding well. Works for me.

This could be a great product... but is only a good product. Overall, the leash seems quite good. It it reasonably compact. It seems durable. I looks good, though other colours would be welcome. Just to note, I wouldn't feel comfortable using a leash like this with a big or hard to control dog. The purpose of buying this is to replace one which the internal gears have been stripped so it no longer brakes. (It's not this brand.) I wouldn't trust any retractable leash with a big dog. (Just my opinion here.) What we don't like is the locking mechanism. First, it's backwards to the other two retractable leashes we've owned. Second, it does not release easily. We bought this because our medium size border collie, likes to sniff and/or move faster than we do. Being able to extend and retract the leash easily is nice and makes walks less jerky. I use the brake switch all the time as a way to stop her when she's moving too fast, or even read her in when. With this unit, it's not conveniently done with the locking lock switch. Yes, the main switch has a little lock switch on it - so it's not as "one-click" as stated. If there is tension as there is often with our pup, it won't unlock. Maybe that's what some people like, but my wife refuses to use it (it was her leash that we were replacing). I don't like it, and my preferred leash is still functional, so it's just sitting in a pile with the other things we've purchased for the dog and don't use.

Super super super. I was suffering to take my one plus years Lab which is 32 kg for a walk daily...it pulls me a lot. I was not at all enjoying dog walk. But this item helped me to train my dog because it gets extended far so that I get time to teach him not to pull. Also the lock system is excellent. I can lock and pull my dog back if he is trying to jump on someone who appeared suddenly. Please buy for some relaxation during walks.

Not a good product. Within a month its retractibility function does not work now. In description it is mentioned that it can handle upto 50 kg dog. My dog is 37 kg golden retriever. I don't think it is repairable too.

It's very thick and soft while holding it. Buckle is big and tough and it's not going to break any time soon. Using it for my adult German Shepherd and it's so comfortable to use and go for walk. Even if my dog pulls it sometimes, it doesn't hurt my hand. I'm sure it will handle all the big dogs like Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Saint Bernard, Labrador.. Note* it's not for small dogs. And also check the rope length before ordering, as I have ordered the small length, and it is perfect for me.

Great price and sturdy. I got this for my 13lbs dog as a spare, I keep her in her harness(buddy belt for Doxies) when out and with that leash on the entrance table, if there is an emergency there is not messing around with the retractable leash. Anyone can figure this leash, its basic and solid.
