Does what it suppose to with no issues at all
I really was not considering delliding just because of the Internet screaming at me that it is not safe, that it voids your warranty, that you will fry all the components of your precious PC... But my overclocked 8700k would sometimes reach 90 degrees and I was not feeling comfortable with these temps. So i bought the tool and was just so sorry that I did not do it earlier. With the exact same settings my 8700k now maxes out at around 80 degrees! 15 degree improvement! And the whole process of delliding is just so simple and quick. It took me about 15 minutes all together and most of the time I was just cleaning the CPU die. If you're still hesitant about delliding - watch some delliding videos and you will see how easy it is. Especially with a right tool like this one.

Rotational IHS removal is a smart idea
This worked perfectly on my i7 7700K. The tool delids the CPU in a rotational fashion rather than pushing the IHS off in one direction. Also works to relid the CPU. Instructions are very basic but sufficient to do the job. Recommend. I used liquid metal for both IHS and Cooler. i7 7700K using Phanteks PH-TC14PE cooler. Small OC to 4.8 pre delid and temps max at 85°C. OC to 5GHz after delid and max 67°C. I dont have a great chip either so 5GHz was where I stopped. Needed 1.38v to get there.

Very easy to use
Does what it's is supposed to. The actual turning delid bit is tight to remove/put back in whereas the line-up fitting seems loose and doesn't fit in when the chip is being re-lidded, but it was easy enough to eyeball and the clamp thing works if you want to wait half an hour for the lid to stick, but you could just put it back in and let the cpu bracket put the pressure on. TLDR; buy it cuz it's simple and works for what it's designed for, mostly

Cpu runs better than when I 1st got it
Pricey but a quality product and good investment if you want more lifespan for your CPU (not a fact). I did notice after using Arctic silver 5 for both the die and heat-sink that I was getting a solid 10 degrees lower, in BOTH idle and high loads and it's also worth mentioning I used Arctic alumina adhesive to seal it back together. My CPU feels brand new, I will not mention here what else I did and do to my components for your own safety. Live long and prosper peeps.

Only for CPU's listed in the description.
Please be aware this tool is only good for CPU's listed in the description. It is expensive tool but limited to only two types of processors. I wish there could be more adapters included so Xeons and other CPU's could be put into a ring.

Used this to delid my 8700K, was a piece of cake
Despite it being slightly more expensive than the other options out there, this does come with extra features when using it to delid and therefore I think the price in that sense is justified.
