Professional Sound Made Easy — Worth Every Penny!
The SteelSeries Alias Pro Kit exceeded my expectations. The XLR microphone delivers clear, warm, and professional sound—perfect for streaming or recording. The included mixer makes it easy to control volume, gain, and mute with great convenience. Setup is simple, and the Sonar software lets you fine-tune the audio to your liking. It feels solid and well-built, with high-quality materials. Since I started using it, my voice sounds much clearer and more natural. Definitely an excellent choice for anyone looking to take their sound to the next level.

Great audio product from SteelSeries
To start off, this isn’t a plug and play microphone. You’ll need to play around with the audio configuration a little bit to get the results that you want, and to do that you’ll need to download the dedicated software for it. But once you get it all set up and working, it works amazingly. I’ve never heard my voice as crystal clear in any other microphone, and the easy access microphone controls make it better. I’ll have to admit, I had fun pushing the mic mute button a couple of times just to feel the button and see the light turn on. As for physical installation, it’s really easy to do as long as you follow the instructions. It did take me a little bit personally because my desk is currently a cable nightmare but the cable length should be more than enough for most users. Also, the RGB on the control panel is a pretty neat addition, especially if you have other SteelSeries RGB enabled devices. If you want a top tier microphone and don’t mind paying a bit of a premium, this is the microphone for you. My only gripe (and this is a general SteelSeries problem, not exclusive to the mic) is that you can’t disable the RGB engine without uninstalling the entire software suite if you want to use another RGB control program (like SignalRGB).

BEST mic I have owned!
Im still getting used to it but its much better than my rode nt1! By miles! Would highly recommend. Only downside is that you have to speak directly at it for gaming recording. If not it picks your voice up as background noise. It was a bother at first but now its on a stand between me and my monitor without blocking my view.

– Amazing Mic, Let Down by the Software
The Alias Pro microphone itself is fantastic — crystal clear audio, great build quality, and well worth the price if you're serious about sound. It easily competes with other high-end mics and has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance. That said, the SteelSeries GG software is a different story. It's bloated and intrusive. The "Sonar" feature keeps hijacking my default audio output every time I restart my PC, even after disabling it. It feels like I'm fighting the software just to use my own setup. To make things worse, the "Moments" feature seems to keep recording clips in the background, even when I’ve turned it off. There's no easy way to fully disable or rebind the default hotkeys, which is just bad design. Compared to Logitech's Blue mic software, which is lightweight and stays out of the way, SteelSeries GG feels overly aggressive. I wish the software was more modular and user-friendly — it drags down what is otherwise an incredible microphone. If you’re okay dealing with some frustrating software or are willing to spend time managing workarounds, this mic is a powerhouse. Just be aware that out of the box, it comes with software that might not respect your settings.

Easy set up and controls.
Easy set up and the control interface was way easier than 2 mainstream freeware products. Recorded sound was excellent.

Alias Pro
It’s actually pretty good, much better microphone than I thought it would be. It sounds well enough to be used for podcasting or streaming maybe even voice acting for smaller gigs. It costs a hefty amount but the microphone is good quality so realistically it’s a good purchase if it’s on sale.

Worth it, at the right price.
Great Mic and the included mixer are a significant advantage at this price point, especially if you can find them on sale. My friends immediately noticed the difference, saying it sounded like I was in the booth. However, the SteelSeries sonar software can be a bit finicky at times. Overall this mic is more than worth the money and would absolutely recommend to someone using this for a gaming/streaming setup.

Good microphone, love the audio mixer.
Microphone sounds good although all my friends have told me that I don’t sound the same. I think it may be tuned to be a little deeper sounding, which can technically be adjusted in software, I just don’t know how to tune well. I just really like that it lets me get audio from 2 devices out of my one set of speakers simultaneously. So I can use my console and my PC at the same time for things like Discord.
