Is there a trick to installing this. I turned off the printer and installed the memory but it freezes up the printer when it's installed.

what does ddr2 and dimm represent? I can not figure what I need.

First DIMM stands for Dual Inline Memory Module which has a 64 bit data path and is generally the standard for most current computer systems. The pins on either side of the module are separate connections. DDR2 SDRAM is a double data rate synchronous dynamic random-access memory interface. It references a specification for how the memory operates as apposed to a DDR or DDR3 specification. DDR2 DIMMs are neither forward compatible with DDR3 nor backward compatible with DDR.What you need depends on the specification for the system/device you are looking to add memory to. In my case the specification was for a HP Color Laserjet CP2025 printer.
