I was so excited to get home when I found out that this calligraphy set was delivered and I was not disappointed. The packaging that this set comes in is so nice I love that it comes with an oblique pen and a straight pen that was one of the reasons I got this in the first place I learned many years ago on a straight pen thought because I am relearning calligraphy I would like to try the oblique pen also. I'm glad that this comes with the nibs that it does because the only ones I can get are the flat ones and I wanted these. I downloaded the workbook and it's great and I'm glad about how it's arranged to be able to practice all the letters . I would recommend this set to anybody who is starting out or relearning calligraphy.

I was extremely excited to receive this calligraphy kit. Upon arrival the presentation of the box and everything in it was nice, but the red and green jar were already leaking in their plastic bags. I thought it was just an accidental spill during packaging; I soon found out it was a defect in the jars. The ink from both jars leaked out inside the box and drenched the foam as well as the booklets that came with it. Maybe it was just an unlucky occurrence for me, but I was very let down by that. Moreover, the quality of the nibs as well as the quality of the nib holder on the oblique pen were sub par in my opinion. I am still relatively new in regard to oblique pens and calligraphy, but you could tell the quality wasn’t what it could be. Overall, the set is still a nice beginners set with everything you’ll need to get started. Hopefully your jars of ink do not spill everywhere like mine did. I would also like to see some kind of instructions page on how to use each nib with examples to better understand the variety I received. Thank you.

Ok. I am a beginner at this whole thing. So I ordered a few beginning sets. This is my favorite. Because...........It is elegant looking and very giftable. It is thoughtfully put together. The pen and the nibs are great!(haven't got to the ink yet cause I'm using up other). The vellum is nice and so is the little booklet. But guys, you have got to print out the e-book that comes free with this set! It is the best book ever! With projects at the back too! I want more!Thank you.

Bought this set because it was well reviewed and inexpensive, and I wanted to learn hand lettering as a good self-isolation hobby. I actually didn't expect it to be so elegantly packaged and complete! The instructions and tracing paper are ideal additions. I'm happy to have a variety of nibs to start with and I can't wait to try the oblique penholder.

This was cool packaging and pretty good for the price - however, I returned and reordered because one of the nibs wouldn't stay in the pen and one of the pens had a big crack in it. When I received my replacement, the same nib wouldn't stay in the pen again so I returned again and won't be reordering :(

I am very impressed with this set from Tribely! The packaging is elegant to say the least! It comes in a black hardboard box with the top opening up in the center. Inside the contents are each set in their places in a soft covered foamboard. I have not used this set yet but am so looking forward to doing so. This set more than met my expectations! This is the PERFECT calligraphy kit for beginners. It has instructions on how to prepare the nibs to take ink, five different nibs, two different Handel's for different angles, a book of tracing paper, and a book with a beginning alphabet to learn one font. It is really easy to dive Right in and start learning the feel of writing with a non and ink well. I do wish there was a tiny bit more explanation with the kit, like what each job is best for, and how to form letters for lefties. After some experiments, I have a feeling there are a few strokes that lefties have to do differently. I am very happy with this purchase, and it would make a great gift for a person interested in learning calligraphy or hand lettering.
