What is the diameter of the base

The base is an oval. Largest length is24.5cms and the shorter is 22.5 cams. Both measurements are approximate. Incidentally I have found the product excellent so far.

Is the height adjustable?

The lamp is 160cm tall (unbent) and the height can be slightly adjusted with the swivel neck.

Can this light be operated by a timer so that it will automatically come on and go off at preset times without having to press any other switches?? Th

I have very briefly tried it with Alexa and a smart socket it worked very well further to this I have routines set with Alexa App to operate my other work lamp and works a treat. We have a digital time clock and connected to this it also works fine. Insert the Lamp plug into timer device switch lamp on (But it should not work) then set times in timer device Plug in timer device to power outlet and the time should activate the lamp to turn on and Off at the times you have programmed. Hope this helps..

Can it help cataracts

No idea as that's a medical question. I wear glasses and find there is no stress on my eyesight when using this product daily.
