Review: Great gpu but should be cheaper to reflect actual performance - Had an old gtx 1080ti gpu and naturally was starting to show its age (the fact it lasted so long shows how great a gpu it was, and depending on use still is). I decided to upgrade. I was contemplating getting this or an AMD gpu. I got this because it's Nvidia and the driver support is much better than AMD. I have a PCIE 3.0 motherboard and this requires a PCIE 4.0 motherboard (PCIE is backward compatible so the latest gpu will even work on a PCIE 1.0 port). I decided to get this anyway as it's only 1 generation below and I am essentially loosing 5-10fps which is nothing massively different (essentially with each generation you will be loosing no more than 5-10fps, depending on the system it is added to; so each newer generaton would near enough double by this amount). I only need to upgrade the motherboard if it is 2 generations or more above, as than the performance is noticeable (much lower fps and slower texture pop-in and the like). I got the rtx 4060ti 16gb gpu (won't go anything lower with vram since 8gb should be the least of it nowadays and 11gb the standard due to how demanding applications are today). Having got it, benchmarked it and tested it in various ways I can safely say it is a great card. I got it and benchmarked it natively (without dlss or any performance support) at maximum settings "by todays standards" getting near 24-30fps on the lowest and about 33-50fps on average (obviously anything older will be much higher). I take it if I had a PCIE 4.0 port I would get an extra 5-10fps. So anywhere from 29-55fps at maximum settings. This gpu can handle pretty much anything thrown at it and with the addition of adding frame generation an extra 30-40fps is gained on max settings. Also it's nice that this gpu is doing all this and using near half of what my 1080ti used in terms of power. Which saves some money with electricity bills. The one issue I have is the 128 bit bottleneck, which they should have made it at least 192 bits as performance would largely have been increased. But this is understandable as this would have used more power to do so. The gpu is incredibly efficient and does alot with what it has. It stays cool and quiet pretty much all the time even in demanding situations. Has "incredible" overclocking potential considering its only using 1 pcie x8 connector for power; this is very impressive but as said limited by the 128bit memory bandwidth. It is very efficient with what it has. The gpu is really a 1-2k card, and can go 4k depending on the application used, though if incredibly demanding will require frame generation which adds so much fps it is unreal. Overall a great gpu, as if you are upgrading from a 1080ti like me a big leap in terms of performance but if you are coming from a 3080ti the leap is nothing major besides adding frame generation (unless you specifically want this feature; but will depend on application support). So anything below a 3080ti is worth an upgrade. Only 4x/5x nvidia gpu cards can do true frame generation because of an Optical Flow Accelerator and newer tensor cores (AMD has their version but is largely inferior due to lack of hardware support and being "mostly driver based"). As said adding frame generation provides so much of a performance boost it is unreal (anywhere from 30-40-fps). Overall a great card, though my only gripe is could be a little cheaper. That is the only issue with the gpu, they should have made it cheaper to reflect its performance (as in native performance without frame generation or dlss). Overall though, a great gpu.
Review: 4060ti 16GB - This is a very good card you can play all of the latest games on this card without any issues I have tried this myself and had no issues the reason a card like this got a bad review from YouTube streamers is because the refuse to test it using all the bells and whistles like DLSS and Frame generation because these streamers are only interested in pure power but nvidia knows cheaper cards like this don’t have the power of say a 4080 or 4090 so they need the help of the technology mentioned above to achieve high FPS which you can get when using these said technology and that is what it is there for it is exactly for these lower cards like a 4060 and 4070 but as for this card specifically it works great the RGB lighting effect is nice it was very easy to install the card is smaller than the width of a standard ATX motherboard so no issue with fitting in a midi atx or full tower atx it would also fit well in a small form factor build but that is a area that I don’t really build in myself it is your standard 2 slot deep I have been very happy with the performance of this card so far

## Features

- Elevate performance with TRI FROZR 3 cooling and its key features – TORX FAN 5.0, Core Pipe, and Airflow Control.
- Stay cool and quiet. MSI’s TRI FROZR 3 thermal design enhances heat dissipation all around the graphics card.
- TORX FAN 5.0 is a culmination of fan design improvements to increase the air pressure and flow into the heatsink. Ring arcs link three sets of fan blades that tilt 22 degrees together to maintain high-pressure airflow even at slower rotational speeds. The resulting increased airflow is +23% compared to an axial fan.
- Heat from the GPU and memory modules is immediately captured by a solid nickel-plated copper baseplate and then rapidly transferred to an array of heat pipes. This widening of the thermal transfer systems with highly efficient mechanisms improves overall efficiency.
- Core Pipes are precision-crafted to make maximum use of the available space. A squared section of heat pipes fully touch the GPU baseplate and spread the heat along the full length of the heatsink
- Airflow Control improves airflow dynamics through the Wave Curved 2.0 and updated deflectors design for optimizing the balance between cooling and quieter acoustics.
- Take a closer look at the other thermal solution features that help to control temperatures and the noise level.
- A large airflow vent on the backplate allows exhaust air to pass through directly.
- ZERO FROZR The fans completely stop when temperatures are relatively low, eliminating all noise.

*by M***U on 21 February 2025*

I bought this one to change my 1080Ti which I have it for 8 years and was start crashing. With this one, I am again in game, it is value for her money, quiet, temperature not going up. I have it in this moment for 20 days and is function great, her fans I did not heard not even one time! I think is worth it!
