Best New Computer under $300.00
Very Happy with my purchase. Using it for grad school. Like the light up keys on caps & number lock. you do have to use the Microsoft browser, but I understand there is a way to unlock others if you so choose. Screen is large, memory is large enough to store tons of schoolwork and pictures, 12GB of ram, Intel dual core, everything I needed for school, browsing, and work. It is a bit light weight, so I would get a case or protective cover if you plan to travel with it. Lift it while the lid is closed to avoid breakage. Keeps a charge for several hours of continuous use. I don't think you can find a better laptop for under $300.00 for school use.

TERRIBLE (NO) CUSTOMER SERVICE
Not bummed that the machine has stalled out, I'm terribly disappointed and frustrated with the service (lack thereof). Aboy6 months into using, the machine experiences glitchiness and intermittent shutdowns. I started calling and messaging via Amazon around Halloween looking to have them honor the warranty provided. >10 messages / calls including escalation through @Amazon -- they are not a reliable entity. My experience has been that they are horribly unresponsive and do not honor warranty offered. Caveat emptor: if you decide to take the risk it, buy an Assurance Plan offered by a third party, rather than this farce of an operation which may just be three raccoons in a trenchcoat.

Get something better
Thought a cheap computer would get me through just for doing school assignments and watching recorded lectures; I was wrong. Plan on having it plugged in anytime you use it, because the battery is timed by minutes not hours. Also the screen likes to randomly go black for 5-10 seconds, before it acts like it’s starting up again. Don’t waste your time and get something better if you can.

Win 11 or this laptop is not up to my standards
I'm not sure if it's the computer or the Win 11 software because it so different from Win 10 that it impossible to relate. I have used every Win systems since the 1980's and wrote my own software using Basic and Fortran before that. But in 18 hrs I had nothing accomplished. Will be looking for an Android tablet or converting to Linux.
