Must have for routine tea drinker
This tea infuser/strainer is perfect. It fits into a standard mug but is big enough to give the tea room to really expand/blossom and release all the great flavors. The silicone lid is perfect for helping maintain temperature for ideal steeping conditions. The mesh is solid thick metal, rather than a screen and doesn’t bend of damage during use, but the holes are fine enough that tea stays contained in the strainer without leaking. The silicone handles support the strainer while remaining cool to touch to. O. Ruby finders, and the lid offers a perfect drip tray to set the strainer on while you enjoy your tea, leaving the strainer ready for a second steep with no mess. It is easy to use and designed by some one who knows the importance of a perfect cup of tea.

Good quality BUT it has an issue.
5 stars because this product is " almost there". This is exactly what i was looking for BUT there is ONE PROBLEM which ill mention in my review. This is a nice large infuser. Easy to take in and out of your cup, easy to clean, the water flow through the holes are better than expected and the rubber handles on the side are helpful to pull it in and out of your cup & avoid burning your fingers and the lid is a plus. Upon taking out of the box i realized this infuser was HUGE. Although i thought i ordered the small version..... i assumed it would be too large to fit in my little 12 oz coffee cup but it happend to be the perfect size to fit down in provided that i put enough water in my cup. I looked at tons of tea filters & infusers & so many of the reviews said that even after using the filter they still had loose tea leaves floating in their tea and no one wants to drink bits of loose leaf in their tea. I came across this one that seemed to have good reviews and decided to give it a go. Used this infuser with the "hey girl" cleanse for digestion & bloating loose leaf tea from amazon and at first I thought it filtered it throughly until i looked at the bottom of my cup and unfortunately I see a bunch of loose tea grounds floating at the bottom of my drink. It filtered everything out except small loose tea particles but large enough that i would know its in my mouth when drinking it. So that disappointed me. I thought the tiny holes would be small enough to keep anything from going through it but i guess i was wrong. I will likely be keeping it to try it with other loose leaf teas and see how it works but will probably be looking for a box of disposable tea filter bags with the string that are "bleach free". One thing i cant stand is things floating in my tea. Another reason I wanted to switch to loose tea instead of purchasing the bags is ive gotten a nasty mouthful of tea grounds in my mouth when taking a drink due to a tea bag bursting inside my coffee tumbler without my knowledge. I mean I had basically half the tea bags contents in my mouth! Yuck 🤮 Will be on the hunt to find a infuser and filter that work better. For context the debloat and digestion tea is used suggested to use 1 heaping Teaspoon. That was all I put in

Beautiful, Well-crafted Tea Strainer
Luv this. Works perfectly to strain loose leaves and cleans up easily. Very durable, no rust, and the mesh is the perfect thickness. It's beautifully designed and efficient. Worth the price.

LOVE This!
I'm in love with this tea infuser. Maybe it's my imagination, but I swear the tea tastes fuller when I use this, compared to my old tea infuser ball-and-chain. The company literature says that's because the larger size basket allows the tea leaves and flowers to completely open. This stainless steel basket is quite large, and takes up most of my mugs. It's perfect for tea pots, too. Super easy to clean, and dishwasher safe. And the rubber disc, which doubles as both a lid to hold in the steam while the tea infuses, and a drip tray to rest your infuser on after you've removed it from your mug, is so handy. Also, you don't burn your hands on a hot infuser chain when you use this, because the handles have a rubber coating. This is just the perfect little kitchen gadget, and I'm so glad I found it. Would make a great gift for a tea enthusiast, especially when paired with a cannister of loose leaf tea. Works well with all tea types, including herbals.

Does a good job
A good product and is off a good size to hold more than enough leaves, flowers, etc. In addition, the strainer has kept out a considerable about of leaf/flower material as the holes are pretty small. It has not rusted to date, but I wash it soon after I use it and put it to dry. The only thing is that the two rubber heat protector pads slid off the handles after a few washes as water got under them. I have since removed the rubber pads and use the strainer without them. Even though the tea is hot, I have not gotten burnt without using the pads.

Good price for a good product
perfect! It is super easy to use, fits in all of our mugs (I don't have huge mugs. They are 8oz or so), and filters well. I love the cap. It helps steam, and once I am done, it helps me throw out the waste. If you put it underneath you are not going to drop it on the way to the trash.

I heartily recommend. Have bought multiple over the years
I have used this product for years and can heartily recommend it to anyone who drinks loose leaf tea or tisanses. It's excellent value for the money and I have bought multiple over the years to keep in different locations (home, work, etc.). As for the construction, the mesh is thinner but rigid and strong. I've never stress tested it, but one doesn't need to stress test a tea strainer. I've traveled with it in bags that had heavier things and it's always stayed the same. The hole sizes are small enough that tea leaves won't get through. You may have the littlest bit of powdered tea leaf get through, but that's expected with any metal strainer. There are lots of holes, including at the bottom of the strainer, so you wont have any trouble with slow brewing. As for the lid, it works well. I don't use it as much, but i do appreciate the silicone part that keeps it on tight. The silicone handles are great for protecting your hands from getting burned when you take strainer out after brewing. A note on cleaning: You can put this in the dishwasher if needed, I have before, but i wouldn't do it much. This isn't due to anything structural, but the flavor soap imparts. If you dishwash or hand wash it with soap, i would recommend rinsing it for a while after. How I usually clean the strainer: Once I dump the used tea leaves, I rinse out the excess in the sink. After this, I pour boiling water in and over it, then let it dry on a towel. All the tea leaves usually come out, but if any ever get stuck in a hole, you can get it out with your fingernail or a toothpick.

I really like this infuser...
It's a nice infuser and I'm pleased with it. First off, I really appreciate the workmanship, no sharp edges inside or out, nice and smooth, looks well constructed overall. The holes are tiny and work well. The silicone handle covers give you a good grip and protect from heat. I really like the baskets cylinder shape as opposed to others that have a more tapered basket, because the straight sides make it less likely to tip over and much easier to clean. So far, I've brewed a couple of herbal teas and leaf teas that were problematic about leaking sediment in my previous infuser. With the Ohtomber infuser, teas all tasted great, the tea was clear, and had no almost no sediment, just a bit of ground cinnamon escaped. I suspect extremely fine matcha or powdered teas would escape, but I don't drink those so no issue. So, overall I really like it, and it does a great job infusing, but here are a couple of things I feel might improve the product. I wish that the non screen components were made of slightly heavier stainless, which would give it a heavier and sturdier feel. I especially would like for the silicone on the drip tray to be bonded to the disc instead of slipping onto it like a removable cover. I already see that with normal use, moisture is getting under the silicone and could grow mold or bacteria if its not fully taken apart cleaned, and allowed to dry thoroughly after each use. That process takes a bit of time. The silicone is thin, and I'm not sure how many times it can be taken on and off before it tears or stretches. Both are small issues, and don't change the fact that it's a good product, just suggestions for improvement.
