I was SUPER apprehensive, but... :)
After reading all of the bad reviews/videos about people unhappy with this design, I decided to chance it, and I'm glad that I did. I checked the fit of a 9mm Glock mag in it before I installed it on my Ruger PC Charger 9mm, it not only looks good, but it feels REALLY good, that was another worry that I had. The 'grip' if it is a grip, is smaller than normal though, (I have medium-sized hands) and they call it a "holster" because it is, it holds the magazine in. It just so happens that if you used this on a pistol that has brace on it, well, using it as a grip 'may have' problems for you down the road. The 'AFT' (humor me) doesn't like that stuff, it is not a vertical grip, but, they are so wishy-washy, no telling what they will call things next week, or next month. I think you can tell what I am saying here. When dropping my mags I just firmly push against the thumb area and push it out, really easy. I am SURE though that not all things are made alike, so if a little difference in someone's mag, or their Recover Holster is off even the slightist bit, that could cause a different outcome. The only REALLY BAD thing was, they waited for 10 days to even ship it, then when they did, it came quick, UPS. It was supposed to be here last Wednesday a week ago, but there was some problem and they delayed it. It seemed like forever because I was really curious as to how well this thing was going to work, but, all's well with it, so far, I hope to go the to range tomorrow. If you do have a problem and you want to keep it, you may want to consider what I had planned. Make a piece out of a good stiff unbreakable plastic so you can PRESS on the two tabs (on each side) and make it work for you, rather than against you. (Actually, make TWO pieces) Picture a piece of plastic that has a 'small rounded out part' (This will retain it) on it where a BB (or ball-bearing) can fit in-between the tab and that piece of plastic, so instead of trying to jerk the mag out and eventually wearing out either the mag or the Recover Holster, you would just press those two pieces and it will 'draw' up each side taking the pressure off. That should alleviate all of the problems. This is similar to how a see-saw works... If you can't envision it, picture a piece of plastic with a BB in-between it and the HOLSTER's tab, you would adhere one end of the plastic piece to your grip and the BB would be trapped, but, when you pressed on it, it would raise the area where it has been 'glued' and taking the pressure off of that area, making the process of the mag removal much easier. That's what I came up with anyway, hopefully if you run into any trouble you can think of a way. It will, however, create another problem, it will make a place on the grip portion of the Recover Holster not comfortable. Imagine a thicker piece of plastic on top of the tabs that are already there, so it would irritate your inside palm. I'm not sure if I will make this, I had it all worked out in my head, but, I don't go to the range that much, so wear is not something that has a priority for me. Maybe at the very least, someone that has more brains than I do can come up with a way and sell it. It'd be really easy to make a 'thing' on a CNC, but it's really overkill, but, still, it can be made pretty. :) This thing is also made VERY WELL, I was hoping it wasn't going to be a thin 'piece of plastic' that I paid almost $50.00 for. For the price though, I will say that I have a hard time believing that Recover cannot come up with a way to do just what I described, but in a much better way. For me, this piece is attractive, it feels good, and it works, but, still, it is not a $50.00 piece of plastic, well it is, but it's not worth that price. It is if it makes you happy, and it has made me happy.

Fits well, looks good & holds a loaded Magazine just fine.
I just received it today for my Ruger PC 45-acp. Fits really well, easy on easy to take off. Hold a loaded G-21 Magazine pretty well. No release button to push, you simply wrap your hand around the Mag and push up on the rear with your thumb and it pops right out. Can't say how durable it will be, it's kinda Thin plastic and Not overly sturdy. But time will tell. It's kinda like a hand grip, but I'm really sure it'll brake easily if you tried to use it as one. It's Actually a really Great design, if it was just thicker and made sturdier it would be awesome! For a $40 piece of plastic, it has best perform. I'm concerned about the Magazine falling out while firing,, I'll find out soon enough. Hopefully it'll surprise me!

That little extra that you will really enjoy.
A perfect add on for your brace. It holds that extra magazine that hopefully you will never need. But better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!!!!!

Just Decent, there’s better options
It mounts and performs fine, but the mag release catch is tension only. If you bang it hard enough it will drop the mag. Works fine for a novelty but there’s better retention options

Works like expected and then some.
Works like a dream and makes it easy to run a spare magazine. Easy to install and feels sturdy.
