We had different salt and pepper grinders in the past that eventually broke. I wanted something that was not plastic. We really like Le Creuset products and have always had good luck with them. I know these are pricey compared to other options, however, this is an example of you get what you pay for. The salt one โleaksโ a little salt after use, but if you give it a little shake before putting it down the salt residue comes off and you can avoid any mess.
