Helps. In my opinion, it doesn’t cure and it is not a painkiller, but it gives support to the back which makes you aware or your movement and thus reduces movements that cause pain.

Once I figured out how to place the tape, how much tension was needed, and remembered to use alcohol to prep my skin (first), I felt better than I have in a long time. It's difficult to put the tape on by yourself, but I can do it! My knees and low back felt so much better. KT Tape Pro stays on my skin for as long as 2 weeks. I'm desperate to relieve my pain, so I use Original (blue) Dawn dishwashing liquid on my knees and low back after my usual shower or bath, then I liberally soak several paper towels with rubbing alcohol and scrub my knees and low back. While allowing the alcohol time to dry, I either use a hot hair dryer or sit in front of a space heater, warming my knees. Only then do I apply the tape and use the backing paper to rub the tape to create friction. I was amazed that the tape stayed on for two whole weeks. I did have to trim a few small areas that curled from my jeans rubbing the tape. Be sure to watch the videos to decide how much tension you need to use. The first time I put it on my back it hurt badly because I pulled it to much. I was able to reapply the tape and warm it with the hair dryer. I was happy that it stuck again. Also the ends do not stick well to tape. Your anchors must be on your skin with no tension. Thank you for this excellent product!

Edit. Changed from1 star to 4 stars. Still not happy about the tape not sticking well. But the customer service was excellent. They reach out within two days. I would try this company again. Maybe just try the thinner tape or 2in on different area than the back. Great customer service make a huge difference to me. Not sure if its the wider tape. But put on my back twice. On two different spots. Neither time has stayed on. Always starts lifting within an hour. Other tape I've bought have stayed on for at least 7 days. I would stay away from this brand or don't use 2in.

I use this for my back because it is wide the only thing I wish they would do with the larger size is put the magnesium in the tape. I don’t exercise I use this for pain that I suffer from ic a bladder disease and I use this for pain.i use the magnesium roll on then place the tape.

I used it to bind and its the best product i've bought so far! stays on and is really easy to apply. As soon as its on it feels like its not even there anymore. Definitely recommend!

You can shower and it stays on you. Just pat dry and dress and go. You can wear this tape for joint or back support so you don’t feel pain and it activates the multifidi muscles when used it up your spine. Excellent choice when you fly long distance or cruise ship into ports that have a lot of stairs.

I love the width of this tape. I wish it was a bit less flexible for the back, giving it a more supportive feel. The edges of the tape starts peeling off after just 2 days. I'd rather wear this than take something for pain and discomfort. This really does provide pain relief.
