Powerful, Clean Bass with Bluetooth - Huge Upgrade to my Setup
This subwoofer seriously impressed me. It's a beast for its size. The power is the first thing you notice, it hits hard and clean without getting muddy. For an 8-inch sub, it delivers deep, punchy bass and can easily fill a room. It’s rated around 100W and can reach down to roughly 30 Hz, and you can absolutely feel that low-end presence. The controls are where this thing really stands out. You get adjustable input gain, a variable low-pass filter, and flexible tuning options so you can dial it in perfectly with your speakers. It’s not just plug-and-play (although it certainly can be), you can actually fine-tune your sound, which makes a big difference for both music production and casual listening. In terms of versatility, it works great across the board: studio monitoring, gaming, movies, or just listening to music. The Bluetooth feature is a nice bonus too, making it easy to connect without extra cables when you want a simpler setup. As for value, it sits in a really strong spot. It’s not the cheapest sub out there, but for the performance, features, and overall sound quality, it absolutely justifies the price. You’re getting something that feels much closer to higher-end gear than budget equipment. Overall, this sub adds a whole new dimension to your setup. If you want tight, controlled bass with real customization options, this is an easy recommendation.

Deep and Dark SubSoundz [Techno/Ambient]
The Eris Sub 8 absolutely KICKS. I’m running a full hardware rig—everything from the Erica Synths Perkons Hd-01 and Moog DFAM/Soma Lyra 8 and Sonicware Liven Ambient O—all through a Zoom L-12. This sub handles the raw power of analog synthesis and Eurorack levels like a champ. For modular gear, the output is on ANOTHER LEVEL. It delivers that deep, dark, and heavy low-end you need for hardware jams, but here’s the best part: it stays crystal clear. It’s punchy, not muddy. If you need a sub that can handle the aggressive transients of a RAT distortion pedal or the sub-harmonics of an Oxi One sequence, look no further. You can dial it in exactly to your ears. 10/10 for any hardware-based studio.

Much better mixes
I got this for my home studio and after using it to finish three songs since getting it, I can say I was definitely handicapped trying to produce and mix without a sub. I have the sub paired with my Presonus Eris 5 speakers. The songs I've produced using the sub vs. without the sub have translated much better across various speaker systems and my low end is much tighter and easier to manage. Also, when it comes to sound design, I can make much deeper and higher quality sub bass synth patches because I can actually hear and feel what I'm doing. I'd recommend using a calibrated room microphone and an acoustic room response calibration software to calibrate the sub and your speakers to your specific room as well. I found for my room I could just leave the sub in it's default configuration out of the box, but the settings on the back of the sub allow for some really nice fine tuning to get a nice flat response after accounting for the room response. Lastly, I really like the Bluetooth capability for casual listening and it works well if you only pair it with one device, but I found that if you want to switch between devices you have to press and hold the Bluetooth button on the back of the sub for it to connect to a different device each time despite already being paired. It connects automatically without that step if you just connect and use one BT device consistently with it. Kind of a weird and somewhat annoying quirk, but I don't really use the Bluetooth for anything but connecting my phone to the speaker system for leisure listening, and I only occasionally connect my laptop. For music production though, I use balanced TRS cables routed to my audio interface because the Bluetooth can add a significant amount of latency to the signal chain. In summary, if you already have Eris speakers and want to gain the valuable information your ears need to have great low end in your mixes I'd say this sub is a no brainer and worth every penny.

Perfect for my beginner studio.
Purchased this sub to round out my PreSonus 3.5 speakers and to get the bluetooth capability that comes with it. So far, it's great. It has completely rounded out the sound of my system and also lets me play all my stuff from my phone. Everything I needed and asked for. Great sound!

Good size and good enough sound, but kind of a pain
Don't have a lot of experience with subwoofers, but this seems to do the job, and my audio engineer friend thought it was okay. Is a pain to have to reconnect all the time when turning it off and on because I have to hold the button on the back which isn't easy to reach. Also gets pretty hot, so I don't leave it on for really long periods like I do other regular studio monitors.

Impressive for such low wattage
I've got the Eris BT5's to go with this subwoofer. My buddy heard these in someone's home down where he lives and said that they sound amazing for a "budget" Monitor set. He wasn't wrong. I can't even open the set up because at about 50% volume in a 12x12 room, it's boomy and loud. You do have to EQ these though. The highs and lows won't be as rich without an EQ. Because both the Subwoofer and Sat's are BT, you do have to hook both up to a PC to get sound out of each and together. Now you know if you didn't and was like what. You'll also want to go ahead and get some RCA cables or the TRS cables, because they don't come with either for Sub to Sat connections. The Sat's come with RCA to 3.5mm and a 3.5 to 3.5 cable for phone/tablet/headset pass thru/whatever. I went with White because I'm building out a contrast setup with White n Black aesthetics. They look nice too. Good value for the cost. The next set up from these in another brand run about 250 a satellite and 300 to 500 for the matching subwoofer. The Eris 5BTs do pair up nice with the 8BT.

Combined with a smaller set of monitors that can't do low frequencies as well, this really helps add depth to the sound. would absolutely recommend.
