I like that it is a simple music instrument that you do not need any directions on how to use it. I also like that it has the bass that was added as another feature with the drums. I just got this item today and so far this is fun to play with! The sounds are bass synths that can be changed from low to high, and the electronic drums tempo can be changed with the turn of the tempo knob. The stylus is ideal, which is attached by a wire to the beat instrument. And the metronome can be used to keep the drums in the same beat. There are also 2 additional functions, which is the patrn and the trnsp. This gives the option of making the song longer and giving it glitch and filter effects too. The instrument box itself is plastic, however, it is still durable. There is the volume scroll knob and the on and off switch on the side of the box, and it also has a headphone output too. There is also an indicator light that shows that the box is on, which is the color red. As for the age range, this can be used for a 7 yr. old kid to a senior citizen that is a musician. It is because of the semi-sharp stylus that I would not recommend for kids under 7 to use for safety wise. I am a musician and I bought this to see if it can be used for music and it definitely can! It is affordable and the sounds are beautiful! I plan to buy more of the Stylophone products in the future.

It's limited but it is a lot of fun to mess around with, cool little beat maker. I like to make beats and play guitar over it, works great for messing around or writing at home.

This thing is amazing!! So much fun! Within literally seconds you can make a layered beat any style you want from techno to rock to hip hop. Nothing to download, nothing to cue up. Don’t like where the beat is going, just flick it off then flick it back on, BAMM you got a clean slate to start fresh! I am a hip hop head from the days of way back who always wanted to mess around making beats but I know little about how. This allows me to jump right in, great job guys!! Maybe one day there will be a wireless stylus upgrade, other than that bravo!

My drummer boyfriend freaking loves this. I'm so glad I didn't get him a gimmicky drum pad. It's super easy to use, it quantizes, and you can save your beats. Only thing is that it sometimes quantizes swung rhythms, and if you're playing too fast it won't pick it up. It's about the size of Kindle. It seems to be made well and I didn't notice any scratches or anything. No issues with the electronics. It's really portable. It has 4 drum and bass packs but I usually just use the EDM one.

Got this for our musically inclined 8 year old grandson to see if he gets it…or wants to Considering the attentiveness of kids these days is measured in nano seconds and everything’s about AI enabling the fact the little guy is taking to this the way he is is quite impressive…good thing he doesn’t read my reviews because if he did he’d know that assuming he sticks with it, the plan is to move him up from here by December…the real ironic part is that this is more versatile than the Roland TR whatever I bought in the 80’s

After seen too many videos of this online I had to buy it. It's small enough to take anywhere you go with ease, just put it in your backpack and you are ready to go. I have never been too good at playing music instruments but I still had a lot of fun and like the variety this provided. The sound quality was ok.
