Good for its job and price

Doeznt fit 100mm or 4" ducting . Its very loose and not airtight . I had to use duct tape and silicone to seal . Also plug is usa not uk so adaptor or cut plug off but very thin low volt wire . Will reserve judgement on how long it will last

Seen the good reviews so thought I would try it. Unfortunately I cant test it due to it having a US plug. So I either need to buy an adapter which will add to the total price or return it. As it feels cheap and I doubt it would last long I think ill send it back and buy a proper fan for a bit more elsewhere.

I'm writing because these units so far have worked incredibly well. I own three different models,..and a total of 14 units. I have 3 three of these 8 inch "Booster" models,..I am using these to clear the air where i live. Both intake air and out. Very powerful fumes are emitted by the upper tenants,..(This is Canada ) These units have been "Generally" going 24/7 at one speed or another, and even next to open windows all year round. I live in Milton, Ontario,..and we have many humid summer days, and Canadian winters,...more recently,.i accidently dropped one of these units, and it hit a pointed corner bathroom vanity top at the fan blade and broke the fan blade. i immediately contacted HON & GUAN at one of their email addresses,..explaining i had damaged the unit and would like to pay for replacement parts and/ repairs,...they asked me to email my Order # (Amazon) and WOW!,..WOW! again,..HON & GUAN were SO KIND,....THEY SENT ME A REPLACEMENT "FREE OF CHARGE" AND ALSO SENT ME AN ADDITIONAL 4 INCH MODEL AS WELL..WOW!,..WHAT A COMPANY.

This does exactly what I need, well! Wanted a forced air duct from my sun room (lots of windows/poor insulation) to the basement, pulling cold winter air or hot summer air down to be conditioned by the furnace/AC. Also to create airflow from the rest of the house in that direction to keep the rest of the home from being affected by that air, offering a preferred path of return air to the furnace/AC. This worked perfectly; initially it was a little noisy (if being VERY picky) but I ran ~12' of flexy hose (the type with the wire coil and flexible plastic) before the fan, and put plenty of twists and bends in it. Works practically silently now even at higher speeds. My home is much more comfortable without having the noisy forced air and AC kick on so much. Been running for months now without any issues. Love the speed control unit too, easy to install somewhere accessible and extend the cable if needed.

It works really well, very efficient love the product.
