Ich habe sie mal zum ausprobieren an einen 9V Blockakku angeschlossen, nichts. Dann an ein Netzteil (12V) und habe mich ganz furchtbar erschreckt. Alle Achtung, das knistert ordentlich. Nachdem ich den Blockakku dann frisch geladen hatte, brutzeln die Dinger auch damit schon recht beachtlich. Ich sag mal so 10-15mm zwischen den Ausgangsdrähten überbrückt das dann schon. Da fallen mir bestimmt ein paar lustige Experimente zu ein. Schönes (nicht)Spielzeug.

These work perfectly. At 5V they draw about 1-2A and will arc about 1-1.25”. That suggests that they are more like 200,000V, but still loud and very cool. Trivially easy to use and wire up. Cannot speak to durability, but so far, they haven’t fried.

These are simply amazing for the price. I'm building my own wasp killer that I mount on a pole and trigger it from a safe distance. I'm one of those "prove it" guys and yes it knocked me right on my butt!
