Easy install, great range on remote
Works great! Easy install and the max range hasn't been checked yet but it did work 100ft away.

Great fix for receiver going bad on garage door opener
So, the receiver on the logic board of my chamberlain garage door opener went bad. Since the logic board was too expensive and the wired push button still worked, I used the remote controller, together with a relay and a 9 VDC power supply, to fix it. Very simple and elegant solution. Now I use the remote configured as a momentary switch wired in addition to the wired push button (which still worked). Cheap, simple and elegant solution. Additional components you need to get: a relay and a power adaptor. It works! The photo shows the wiring and placing of the remote receiver with the relay hot glued above.

Decent kill switch
I installed this on my kids power wheels jeep, for when they drive off and aren't paying attention or listening. It was a fairly easy install into a relay and then a pwm. You can hear it turning the relay on and off in my video. It works well for short range, but the advertised distance is quite the exaggeration. I think I got it to work for 20, maybe 30ft. I had to chase after my kid at the park to get close enough to kill it, and that was in a flat open field. I will try running a longer wire to see if it improves the range. I know this is a remote module, but I do wish it had a switch on the unit to toggle it ON manually, bypassing the remote, or at least a memory to turn back to the last state after losing power. Each time the battery is disconnected/reconnected, I have to hit ON on the remote. If I have a situation where I don't want/need to use it (e.g. My kid is riding around the fenced in backyard), I don't want to have to turn it on for them each time, just let it work. If you don't have the remote or the battery in it dies, you are out of luck. Outside of a couple caveats, it functions well and is a decent value.

Handy Remote Control
I bought this to add wireless control for the rear LED light on my Side by Side hunting vehicle, I can now leave the remote in my truck until needed, and when I pull through the gate at my hunting spot with the SXS on the trailer I can activate the light in the dark and be able to see how to close the gate.

NOT up to par for most things... VERY little documentation
I had a VERY SIMPLE use I needed this for. In order to extend the life of my garage door opener, which lost its own signal board for remotes opening it; I decided to add this to essentially make the indoor button act as an RF opener. It SHOULD have been easy as pie. But this little unit did NOT bring the voltage from 15-16vdc down to zero, as would the button. Instead it only brought it down to about 7 or 8vdc. That is NOT enough to trigger the motor. I tried several configurations and so on. DOES NOT WORK. I read a bit and it's likely because this circuit board for this unit is not properly arranged and/or grounded or shunted with capacitors. I was using it as "momentary" mode. You can HEAR the relay switch inside... it's WAY too short. Like a tiny click. It needs to latch for a moment, not a millisecond. Even with voltmeters running and such, it was obvious the voltage never got shunted down to zero, or even close. So "have fun" with yet another failure product from CHINA. That seems to be all they sell. Only here in the USA, our options are cheap chinese risks, or HIDEOUSLY expensive US options. An equivalent to this was over $200 here. Insane.

Flexible and functional
I do video production and wanted the ability to remotely activate several LED light panels simultaneously. These were the perfect choice in that they operate at the voltage of the light’s batteries and that the receivers can be programmed to all be triggered by a single remote. The receivers can be programmed in several modes including the one I needed which is called “Latch” - The turn on and stay on at the momentary push of the “On” button and turn off at the momentary push of the “Off” button. And the range is better than expected even without uncoiling the receiver’s antenna.

Works great!
I have an older model motion duck decoy that was damaged in the water. Controls completely destroyed. Contacted manufacturer, no luck on replacement parts - told me to buy a new one. Seemed like a waste, so I took it apart and rebuilt/rewired. I added this remote control to the circuit so that I can remotely activate the wing spinning motion from my blind. The unit sits inside the decoy body, I used tape to secure it to the battery holder. The duck runs on a 6vDC lithium battery, was worried that the voltage was out of spec. Tested it today, works great! My distance is less than 30 yards, turns on and off with the remote as expected. Nice to be able to repair the decoy in time for hunting season.
