This 3rd brake light looks great and functions well. Didn’t know it when I ordered it but has a switch on the back that enables a strobe feature when you first hit the brake peddle . If you don’t like it just have to change the switch to off and it won’t do it. I actually liked the strobe feature and decided to leave it on .

I’m dumb
Ok I feel kind of dumb because I almost returned this light. The connection fits into where the bulb would go in the harness. Just remove the old harness from the light fixture and place it onto the new fixture. Then plug it into the mustang’s light connector. It’s a good fit and the edges line up well. Squishy gasket to keep the water out. 4 stars because the screws that came with the light were very soft and stripped easily when I tried to install. I just screwed the old hardware into the fixture and it went right in.

Super easy installation and a huge upgrade! Figuring out the clips was the hardest part. The ones holding up the trunk lid liner need to be pried out from the center with the flathead screwdriver and the ones holding in the third brake light need to be pushed in from the center, and then pulled out. Highly recommended!
