Sunny Isle Rosemary Mint Hair & Strong Roots Butter 2oz - Biotin, Jamaican Black Castor Oil

My go to Sunny Isle Hair Butter has always been The Black Castor Hair and Strong Root but it was out of stock. I wasn't sure about the rosemary scented formula but decided to give it a try, and glad I did. I found the scent was subtle and the results on my hair amazing. I spritz my natural hair with detangler and and the butter the brush my edges down. Be mindful not to add too much of the butter because it is oily.

This hair moisturizer is great. Nothing about the formula needs to be changed in my opinion. I’ve noticed after using it for a while that the front side edges of my hair appears to be fuller and healthier. Also, the shine this leaves on a persons hair is second to none. The product has a minty like fragrance and eliminates frizz. Makes your hair look really healthy once applied and moisturized, and it’s not greasy. I had been using Doo Grow and BB (Bronner Brothers) before this product, but now this is my go to because it’s all natural and doesn’t have the artificial ingredients or coloring (yellow, blue, ect) like some of the other brands. I ordered the two ounce jar at first thinking it was the normal size container but it’s not. It turns out the 2oz jar is the tiny one. The 8oz jar however is the bigger or regular size jar which is why it’s more expensive.

Although the rosemary and mint pomade is not overly greasy, its scent is quite off-putting. While it may work well as a finishing product due to its non-greasy texture, the smell leaves much to be desired. Aveda hair pomade, on the other hand, offers a natural formula with a delightful fragrance, making it a superior choice for those seeking a more appealing scent. To improve the rosemary-mint pomade, the company should consider adding essential oils like bergamot or citrus to mask the unpleasant odor, making it more appealing, especially for those in close contact with others throughout the day." I like this product, but it’s a little bit too thick. could be a little looser very thick like paste.

I like this product because it have everything in it for a black person natural hair to stay moisturized. The key to natural hair is moisture and all the ingredients in this product is good for moisture and hair growth. The Rosemary grow your hair and everything else is good to moisture your hair. I didn't realize I was purchasing a small jar but this jar can fit in the palm of your hand. It was enough for me to use it about 5 times on my scalp. It also help my hair grow back in the top of my head. I already had a nice length to my hair but now it's 11" long. I wish I would have taken a before and after. Some key ingredients are Biotin, Aloe, Black Castor Oil, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E, Tea Tree Oil, Eucalyptus and of course Rosemary. It does have a strong Rosemary and Eucalyptus smell that eventually goes away.
