**Exactly what I needed!**
A few months ago, I set out to upgrade my car’s infotainment system because Android Auto wasn’t displaying in full screen. My car has a widescreen infotainment system with impressive sound and display quality, but the wired Android Auto didn’t fully utilize the widescreen space. After reading multiple articles online, I learned that a firmware update might resolve the issue. I purchased an update from the Hyundai India map website for ₹1500, but unfortunately, it didn’t fix the problem. Replacing the entire infotainment system crossed my mind, but given the widescreen format, options were limited, and I didn’t want to compromise the interior aesthetics. I needed a solution that would allow Android Auto to run on the same display without excessive mechanical work. Then, RANDOMLY OUT OF NOWHERE*, I saw a suggestion for this device and decided to purchase it immediately after a quick research. My Experience: 1. Android Auto still doesn’t utilize the full screen, but switching to Apple CarPlay resolves this issue. The device supports switching between Android Auto and CarPlay with the infotainment, allowing seamless connectivity with either type of mobile device on both. 2. Wireless connectivity works flawlessly—my phone now connects wirelessly to the infotainment system through this device. It takes a few seconds to boot and display the auto screen, but the delay is ignorable. 3. The default launcher is disappointing with no widget options, but this can easily be fixed by installing a third-party launcher from the Play Store. 4. The device heats up significantly during use, as it lacks an active cooling solution. Some sort of cooling mechanism would have been a valuable addition. Its been 1 week now but, not sure how long it will run like this. 5. Apps occasionally experience slowdowns, but they remain functional. Lightweight apps perform smoothly without issues. 6. Certain touch gestures, such as pinch-to-zoom on maps, do not work properly within Android Auto. 7. Mute/pause controls via the steering wheel are not responsive, which is a slight inconvenience. I wasn’t particularly interested in Carlink as a brand, but this device turned out to be an excellent product. If you have only wired CarPlay or Android Auto and want a wireless experience—or if you were considering upgrading to an Android-based infotainment system—you can confidently go for this. However, if you plan on running resource-intensive apps, opting for a higher-powered device would be a better choice.

Very good video playback, very bad for calls
This is a fantastic android based attachment for your wired car play or wired Android Auto .. to play videos and games on your car infotainment system. The device has no inbuilt GPS .. the only problem is if you want to connect your phone to this device and cast android auto from your phone to the car infotainment screen , it works grest except when you receive a call , where things work fine for you, but the person on the other side hears thier own echo making the call unusable. I have to switch to my speaker phone to take calls.

Nice and seamless working
Initial Review: Very nice product. Working well in Toyota Hycross Zx. Wireless Android Auto and its own Android system working seamlessly. Able to play Youtube as well. Review After 4 days of use: Not getting internet from Wi-Fi hotspot. After multiple try's of connecting to hotspot, getting internet randomly. So not reliable connection UPDATE: Above Internet problem was resolved after updating the Carlinkit Android system's date and time and also Car-Media player's date and time to correct values.

Worst Experience
Honestly, I'm really disappointed with this product. The price isn't justified given the issues I've encountered. It overheats quickly, freezes or hangs often, and the full-screen zoom functionality doesn't work on YouTube. The touch response time is also painfully slow. Pathetic experience

Transformed my Venue for ₹5000 but here's the Catch
Bear with me and I will tell you everything about this product. You can do almost everything on this device that you would on a smartphone. Users can install any app, though performance is not as smooth as in a flagship phone, still manageable. It's best not to overload it with apps and to use lite versions whenever possible. I tested a number of apps, streaming and music apps and games. Instead of relying on the default UI, install a good car launcher for a better experience. Make sure to use the original cable provided as other cables may cause frequent restarts. Sound quality is decent but doesn’t match the clarity of my Venue’s built-in media system. For videos, offline playback works better than streaming, though it does the job at 720p60fps box heats but supports all quality levels. Split-screen functionality and steering buttons work perfectly. Installation is very simple. The device fits snugly and is completely hidden just above port and below the AC knob using double-sided tape. However, the box heats up quickly, which slows down performance. To minimize this, I turned off the always on Illumination led and ensured that the vent side is positioned below the unit. Worked as expected. There is noticeable lag, the 4GB RAM helps, but the Chinese processor (Rockchip :D) is the weak part here. Keeping the box connected permanently helps retain system time and previously opened apps. Connectivity is smooth both Bluetooth and wifi connects automatically as soon as you enter the car. If configured properly, the Autolinkit app launches automatically on startup if needed for wireless android auto/carplay. It will not drain your battery as the box shuts down after a certain period once you lock and leave your car. Don't rely on this box's gps as it's too slow for navigation. Instead, I use the built in Hyundai navigation system or the wireless android auto for long routes as the phone is free from cable and charges wirelessly at the same time. Overall it’s a great value for ₹5000 a real bang for the buck. Their customer support was responsive and helpful, they even provided me with the tbox flash system file, though I still had to figure out a few things on my own to get it running perfectly as I see a lot of bad reviews here. It's a wonderful product and never fails if you are able to set it up properly.

Falling for a car accessory can be tricky, and I've learned that firsthand! 😅 Sometimes, what seems like a great deal for your car's system isn't quite the right fit. I was hoping for a discount from the car's system, but it turns out it only supports a limited selection. Specifically, it seems to primarily support apps like Netflix and YouTube. It's a bummer when you're looking for more options! Next time, I'll be sure to do a bit more research before making a purchase. It's important to ensure compatibility with your car's integrated system. I'm still figuring out the best way to get the most out of my car's tech. #CarTech #AccessoryFail #KiaSonet #SmartShopping #CustomerExperience
