That took about a chapter and a half of begrudging reading until he was hooked, and now he's just devouring it, plus pausing periodically to tell me the funny lines in it. Really big hit with him. Definitely recommended. Review: His Glorkian Kung-Fu is Strong - A really nice early introduction to comics and cartoony violence in a safe and fun way. There are punches thrown and lasers blasted, but no one really gets hurt. Crazy fun to read with your kids. Only downside is that they may demand you put peanut butter on a pizza.

Very fun read

Hilarity
Very entertaining book. I was a little taken aback by the zapping etc that went on, but that seems to go on in a lot of kids books. But it's a great read for kids when you're alright with that.

James Kochalka Never Disappoints
Another great book from James Kochalka. My neice and nephew loved it. Maybe not as loved as Johnny Boo but still enjoyed. Everyone should pick this up.

The Glorkian Warrior Delivers!
Love the author's music so was happy to have a chance to support him in his other endeavors. I was admittedly unsure what to expect but based on other reviews figured it would eventually overcome ennui. I was rather amazed when not only my younger daughter was captivated but also her 'tween sister who abhors a book, especially one for "little kids." I look forward to finding an opportunity to read it myself, after the glowing discussion and unending babble about the story going on around our house.

Great book for the kid who loves graphic novels
Big hit with my 9 year old. Fun book.

totally excellent graphic novel
Laugh out loud funny. Appropriate for young children. I read this to my 5 year old girl. She missed some of the jokes but there is enough slap-stick in this book to make even a curmudgeon laugh.
