Perfectly priced and easy to use glass hot water pot
Love this hot water pot. We had a plastic one prior to this with the heating element on the inside of the carafe. When the element began corroding we decided we should get a new one that was glass and had the element positioned outside of the carafe so it wouldn't contaminate the water. This one seemed like a good option. It is reasonably priced. We love that it is glass so we can see inside as it heats up, and that there is no possibility of the element leaching metals into our water. The lid opens wide, so it is convenient to fill from the water dispenser at our refrigerator. I love the subtle white color with the soft gold accent on the power button. It isn’t gaudy looking and blends nicely with our kitchen as it sits out on the counter. I do wish it could heat up a little more quickly, but am happy to NOT have to use the microwave. Good things come to those who wait. The power cord is a little clunky. Overall I really like the functionality of this hot water pot. Its fairly easy to clean and heats water to a boiling point in a reasonable amount of time. I would recommend it.

Nice kettle | Works well | Love the color (white) | Not as sturdy as my other ones
I cannot live without my hot-water kettle and was sad when the other one I'd had for six years gave up the ghost. I got this one because the price was right, and I liked the color (white). This kettle does the job just fine! It holds almost 2 liters of water, and it heats the water quickly. This is a no-frills kettle. For example, to pour water in you must manually lift the top. (On my previous kettle, you just touched a button on the top and it flipped open). You have to put a little effort into turning this kettle on (it has a click-button mechanism on top; my old kettle had a little switch at the bottom that you barely had to touch). This kettle shuts off automatically once the water is boiling. This is very lightweight, and you can tell the components aren't top notch. But it heats water quickly, and it was a great price, so I'm not complaining.

Excellent product!
I've had the 2.0L TOPWIT Electric Kettle Glass Hot Water Kettle for over 3 years and I use it practically every day. It is SUPER! The footprint on my kitchen countertop is only 6 inches round. If filled to the indicated line it never overboils or over steams. It has a cute blue light that tells you that it's on and automatically turns off when the water boils. The pot lifts easily off the base, no problem. If you turn it on but have to walk away, all you do is flip the toggle switch to off. Simple, elegant, PERFECT. The only thing you may not like is the cord to the base that it sits on is 22", but that's plenty for me since I have an electric outlet close by. ENJOY!

Design flaws
This is the 4th or 5th water boiler I have purchased, 3rd company, so I have some knowledge on how these things should function and what breaks down. 1) The spout cannot poor quickly. If you tip the pitcher too much in order to get a faster poor, water will splatter all over. In actuality, the water poor is very slow. 2) The on/off switch gets too hot. Hotter than on any water boiler I've used. It will burn your finger if you touch it too long after the water has boiled and it has switched off. Sometimes you want to hold the switch down for a few seconds to get the water to boil to it hottest point again, but you cannot do it on this model. The switch is too hot. 3) All water boilers have issues with the handle at the top, where your hand wraps around it and your index finger underneath the handle. That area in the handle from the underside, gets hot from the switch. Some model designs are better than others, and all of them should be redesigned. The handle at the top is too big that you hand cannot hold it very well. The bottom of the handle is narrower and that is how the handle should be designed at the top, too. 4) They should make the handles with a rubber coating and narrow. The spout should be able to poor better. 5) The lid on a hinge is not really a good idea. A lid that comes completely off is much better, for both washing the pitcher, and when you place the pitcher in the sink to fill it up with water. The hinged lid is a bad design. 6) The automatic shutoff switch on every water boiler I've owned (except 2) has burnt out and no longer shuts off automatically, which becomes a major fire hazard. You forget about having turned it on, and the water won't shut off and continues boiling and all the water evaporates in a matter of about 30 minutes or less, and your lucky if the bottom just burns up and does not catch fire. All companies should invest in superior automatic shutoff switches. This is a severe design, electrical engineering problem. 7) The base that this pitcher sits on is flimsier than others I have owned. It wobbles and is lightweight.

Keeps Water Warm and Feels Comforting in Winter
The kettle works very well. It keeps the water warm in winter, which feels really comforting.

A tea pot that actually does the job!
Great pot for brewing tea and coffee. I found the “coffee” presetting works better for tea than the “tea” setting if you wish to keep the tea warm for more than 30 minutes.

Worked fine for two years, then would not heatvanymore. Being honest I filed it past the Max line several times. Buying them sane again . Perhaps I can reuse the base or the pot , but I won’t over fill anymore .

I ordered this electric kettle after I noticed my previous kettle which was made out of plastic, was leaking at the bottom. On closer look, I noted that it had developed a leak at the seam at the bottom of the spout side of the kettle. I had only had the kettle for two years. I looked on Amazon.ca and found the Glass TopWit Kettle which arrived by Prime, within four days. I followed all of the instructions to do a pre-clean with vinegar and water a couple of times, and then a final boil with clear water. I also boil all of my drinking water, and when it has cooled, I put the water in the fridge in a glass pitcher. I also timed the kettle to see how quickly the water came to a boil. I timed it to exactly seven minutes, which is about the same time to boil as other brands, however, it could be manually turned off sooner than seven minutes. It does have the automatic shut off, and I do pull the plug when not in use as suggested. I like the blue light that comes on when the kettle is turned on, and it is nice to be able to see through the glass when the water starts to boil. Directions state to fill only to the 2L Max point, However, I would fill to a bit less than that, as when I filled the kettle to the Max. point, it boiled over. The water probably would not boil over, if turned off prior to the kettle automatically shutting off. I will follow the instructions of regular cleaning. The glass does get hot after the water has boiled, so you have to be careful not to pick the kettle up by holding onto the glass. (Pick up properly by the handle). As the kettle is glass, I do use extra care when handling the kettle. This kettle also comes in black, which for some reason has more reviews, however, I like the white because it blends in with the colour of my stove and countertop oven. So far, so good. I would recommend this kettle. If you find this review helpful, click below.

Boils fast. However doesn’t have auto shut off so more than once I’ve had it boil over on the floor. Still nice. I just don’t fill it and don’t leave it unattended
