The book has a generous amount and range of repertoire for the Arabic oud. It would have been useful if these were accompanied with MP3s played by the author to guide practice. Without them it's hard to know are you getting the right feel of the piece and listening to the pieces on YouTube you aren't sure how different the interpretation is to the books.
