Werner Aluminum Extension Ladder Locks - Model 28-11

As a residential painter, we use very often extension ladders to paint exterior homes .this part particularly is very essential to operate correctly. Replacing this part you can safe money instead buy a new ladder.Works perfectly and easy to install.

Worked fine on my 28 foot aluminum Keller ladder. I did have to add some washers between the side rails and bolts but other than that, everything lined up perfectly. Ladder works like it’s new again..

These worked out great fixing my old ladder. The only issue is the spring gets caught on my shoe going up the ladder. I can live with that.

I was given an old ladder from an elderly neighbor who didn't see himself going up an extension ladder again. The ladder was in bad shape, but I couldn't just stick it out for the trash since it was a "gift"! After some cleaning and tinkering I ordered these locks, installed them and now have a perfectly fine, usable 24' ladder - and a neighbor who smiles whenever I use it!!

I retrofitted an old 28' Werner ladder (1990's probably) from crummy, pot metal rungs locks to these safer ones. I did have a newer ladder to compare, so I was able to take measurements from the newer ladder and drill holes in the correct location on the older ladder. Have a little patience and drill your holes carefully.

He is a professional carpenter, and he is using these for work. He said they were well worth the money, and are working as he expected them to. He is happy with the purchase.

Exact fit, lining up the spring and keeping tension just right to align hole was challenging, but doable. Ladder like new

The actual replacement part is great but the hardware is junk. I recycled the hardware of what I took off and used it after ringing bolts off.
