Time Saving Efficient Weed Prevention!

This will save you time weeding!
Preen does a great job of reducing the growth of weeds and grass in our flower beds, though it’s not completely foolproof. That said, it works well enough that we’ve repurchased it multiple times. One of my favorite features is the container’s special distribution cap—it makes spreading the product evenly across the area incredibly simple. Overall, it’s a worthwhile investment to save a significant amount of time and effort weeding flower beds.

Purchased at the same price as my local big box store
I love this extended control preen and use in every year. I start it during the early spring rains. While Preen doesn't get rid of every weed, I've noted that the years I don't use it, I have far more weeds to remove. The price on this at the time I purchased it was the same as my big box store, and with my Amazon Prime I didn't have to waste my time or gas (which is currently costly). I pour this larger amount in my smaller Preen spreader. Highly reccommend!

Container lid is awful and the scoop is useless.
I bought the 13.75lb container. There is a pull tab on the lid which is supposed to allow you to tear off the part of the lid that seals it to the container. Mine came about 1/2 way off and then broke leaving the other 1/2 in place and extremely difficult to remove. The scoop was buried about 1/2 way down the container. I had to fish for it. The scoop is just stupid. It has holes in the bottom of it and the product drops all over the place through the holes even when you don't want it to. I threw it away and just used a small plastic container and grabbed a handful at at time and spread it manually. It is very difficult to spread this on a large area without overlapping or missing spots. I am not wasting my money on this stuff again even if it works. I will just spot spray weeds with Roundup when they appear.
