HT100S Voltage Tester

So, there I was, my old voltage tester probably living its best life under some floorboards somewhere after my last job, and me in dire need of a new one. Enter my latest purchase: this shiny new voltage tester, ready to save the day. After an unceremonious unboxing, I got down to business. I tested it on a few known live cables – to my delight, it beeped and blinked with the enthusiasm of a gadget that's doing exactly what it was made for. Now, let's be real – cutting into cables isn't exactly my idea of a fun time, but armed with my new voltage tester, I felt like an electrician superhero. I zapped around, testing here and snipping there, all with the grace of someone who was definitely, probably, hopefully doing it right. Long story short, I completed my job without becoming a human lightning bolt, which I consider a resounding success (and my house hasn't burned down either due to my wiring - calm down reader, the brother-in-law is a qualified electrician and signed it off afterwards). In conclusion, if you're in the market for a voltage tester that's reliable, easy to use, and a potential lifesaver (literally), this is the one for you. It did its job perfectly, and I lived to tell the tale – what more could you ask for?

Easy to read and a high accuracy of detection. With a built in torch to assist in dark areas during power outages. The unit comes with clear instructions and the build quality is excellent. A great tool that could save you from a nasty shock.

A little slow and difficult to activate but once set up identifies live wires BUT only if you touch them. Seems to do little more than a mains tester screw driver with a beep and red flashing light. The LED spot light is useful. Good value for the money

Not sure if I read the description properly as was hoping it would detect 12v car power which it didn’t, does home electrics fine though.

Excellent. Dead easy to use and gives a percentage. Great little device. This one is model HT100s gives bars as well as percentage readout.

Brought this to check any live wires before doing some rewiring to be safe and so far so good! Good quality, instructions are very clear and it’s a bonus to have the sound along with it.

Economical and useful. Accurate. Petite and powerful. Very satisfied.

Bought this after my old fluke stick fell apart after a decade of use and even then just got it as a quick and dirty indicator to throw in a toolbox. Didn't find it particularly sensitive to use with the business end needing to be orientated a bit fussily before it would indicate reliably. I certainly wouldn't use it as an indicator that a circuit was off and ok to mess with (there are proper procedures for that). But as a quick and dirty indicator its 'ok' and a lot cheaper than a 'proper' decent one.
