This heater comes with its own GFCI built in to the cord. It is safe to run in a bathroom. Don't get it wet! **Q: How long is the cord since we are not supposed to a space heater with an extension cord? Please help.** A: I measured mine at 1.9 meters, or 2 yards. **Q: Does this heater have an automatic 1 hour shut off?** A: Yes, but only for the high heat setting. 1 hour is the only choice for high heat and there is no timer for the low heat setting. **Q: Does it shut off if it gets knocked over?** A: I layed the unit over on both sides as well as the back and face. It continued to run at full speed so one would have to believe it will not shut off of knocked over.
