Are there any raw/sharp edges and are the plastic joints chew proof?

There were no sharp or rough edges on the one we received. I can't speak to whether the plastic attachments are chew-proof, but based on how they are designed, I do think it would be challenging for them to be chewed. We looked at significantly more expensive options for this more modern style type of pet pen, and when we came across this, we decided to try this first to get an idea of if these would even work for our puppy. I'm glad we tried this one. We actually really liked it; however, our new pup is good at jumping straight up and down and, at times, was achieving heights equivalent to the height of the pen, so we became concerned about her safety, and that's why we ended up returning ours.
