Here are the plusses: high quality jug made of quality plastic. I like the timer on the top lid too. Easy to clean and easy to install new cartridges. Negatives: unless you have your thumb on the top of the handle (where the lid meets the handle) when you pour, the lid has a tendency to fall off. I see this as a significant design flaw. The lid does not clip into place, as it should, and just rests on the top. The other design flaw is the hinged flap on the lid where you pour in the water from the tap. You have to manually flip this flap up, rather than being able to open this from a switch on the handle, as I have experienced with other jug designs. Those criticisms aside, it’s still a good deal for a jug as it includes 4 filters. Update: May 26 I have been using the jug for nearly a month now and I have changed my mind on my initial criticisms. I have also upgraded the star rating from 3 to 5 stars. I have totally got used to putting my thumb in the handle. And the way you fill it up by flipping the hinged lid thing, is actually a good thing because it means you can get more water in there. So, my initial concerns have all gone. The quality of the jug really stands out too. It still looks brand new a month in. And the other thing I didn’t mention initially was that the filtered water tastes wonderful! And much better than any previous jugs I have used.

A couple of personal issues. First ,with the filling aperture being towards the back of the unit you have hold the unit at a side angle to fill it. Secondly, the top cover tends to come lose while handling it.

Really happy with these filters. It's easy to use, the water tastes much better, and the fast-flow design is really convenient.

Great water filter. To test it, I boiled hot water, let it cool and compare it to the filtered water straight from the tap using this Philips water filter, it tastes miles different and much better. It comes with easy to follow instructions and x3 FREE filters. I can finally stop purchasing bottled water and use this as an alternative. The only thing I would say is that although it says it’s a 3L capacity, it can only filter out the amount at the top compartment, so you’ll have to empty it to a cup or water bottle and keep re filling it again. There isn’t a really a tight seal between the spout and the top compartment so if you pour water for yourself and there’s still water in the filtering section, it might drain into and mix with the already filtered water which is a bit annoying. Overall, it works well as intended, would recommend 👌🏽

This water jug filter makes tap water taste so much better! I’m a student living in student accommodation, and I had never drunk tap water before. When I first tried it, I just couldn’t handle the strange taste. This jug honestly saved me — and also saved me money, since I no longer have to buy £1.40 bottled water every day. The only small downside is that the white lid sometimes comes loose when pouring or picking up the jug. It’s a little annoying, but easy to manage if you hold it with one hand or secure it. Overall, I highly recommend this jug for anyone who doesn’t like the taste of their tap water. It’s simple, affordable, and a lifesaver for students on a budget.

I was really disappointed with this Philips water filter jug. The digital timer stopped working the day after I started using it, which immediately made me question the product’s quality. The design is also frustrating. Pouring water is awkward, and unless you’re extremely careful, the water spills out instead of pouring smoothly. I bought this expecting the reliability that Philips is known for, but this experience has significantly reduced my trust in the brand. I expected much better quality and durability.

Hasta ahora, usando el primer filtro por alrededor de dos semanas, el resultado ha sido muy favorable. La filtración es rápida y efectiva, se siente la diferencia en el sabor. Antes, es importante hacer dos o tres filtraciones iniciales y tirar esa agua. La jarra esta bien diseñada para un funcionamiento optimo y es bastante ergonómica por lo que ocupa poco espacio dentro del frigorífico. La relación precio-valor es muy alta, considerando que trae tres filtros adicionales.

Ich nutze diese Wasserfilterkanne jetzt schon seit einigen Monaten und muss ganz ehrlich sagen: Ich bin wirklich zufrieden damit. Sowohl bei mir zu Hause, wo wir relativ kalkhaltiges Wasser haben, als auch bei meiner Freundin, wo das Wasser deutlich weicher ist, habe ich das Gefühl, dass das gefilterte Wasser angenehmer und weicher schmeckt. Natürlich ist das kein Ionentauscher, der den Kalk oder irgendwelche Schwermetalle zu 100 % aus dem Wasser entfernt. Das sollte man von einer solchen Filterkanne aber auch nicht erwarten. Für meinen persönlichen Gebrauch erfüllt sie ihren Zweck trotzdem richtig gut. Im Starterset war zunächst eine Taste+-Kartusche enthalten. Die habe ich ausprobiert und muss sagen, dass der Unterschied zum ungefilterten Leitungswasser geschmacklich schon ziemlich deutlich war. Danach habe ich mir ein 6er-Pack der Anti-Kalk+-Kartuschen gekauft. Und auch hier: Einen wirklichen geschmacklichen Unterschied zwischen den beiden Varianten kann ich persönlich nicht feststellen. Beide lassen das Wasser für mich angenehm weich und deutlich besser schmecken. Was mich allerdings wirklich überzeugt hat, ist die Auswirkung auf meine Geräte. Bei Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher und allem, was regelmäßig mit Leitungswasser betrieben wird, habe ich deutlich weniger Kalkablagerungen. Das ist für mich schon ein echter Vorteil. Natürlich könnte man auch regelmäßig den Wasserkocher oder die Kaffeemaschine entkalken – aber mal ganz ehrlich: Wer macht das wirklich konsequent alle paar Wochen? 😅 Wenn man durch das Filtern bereits einen Teil des Problems reduziert, ist mir das deutlich lieber. Einen kleinen Minuspunkt gibt es bei der Kanne selbst: Die maximale Füllmenge sollte man wirklich ernst nehmen. Ich habe ein paar Mal zu viel Wasser eingefüllt und dann läuft die Kanne leicht über beziehungsweise sifft an den Seiten etwas heraus. Das ist allerdings selbst verschuldet und kein wirklicher Produktmangel. Ich überlege deshalb sogar, mir irgendwann eine größere Variante mit Spenderfunktion zu holen, bei der ich die gleichen Filterkartuschen weiterverwenden kann. Denn insgesamt macht die Kanne genau das, was sie soll. Ob andere Marken das genauso gut können? Wahrscheinlich schon. Ich habe mich damals hauptsächlich für Philips entschieden, weil das Starterset mit vier Kartuschen für 16 € im Angebot war. Und bei dem Preis kann man meiner Meinung nach wirklich nicht viel falsch machen. Für mich ein absolut gelungenes Produkt und eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Je suis très content de cette carafe. L'eau est très douce. Dommage que les cartouches sont chères et je ne veux pas acheter des cartouches compatibles. Si quelqu'un a un piston je suis preneur.

Zeer tevreden met deze waterfilterkan van Philips. Het kraanwater smaakt merkbaar frisser en zachter, en ongewenste stoffen zoals chloor worden duidelijk verminderd. De kan is stevig, gebruiksvriendelijk en past makkelijk in de koelkast. De Micro X-Clean filters gaan lang mee en met 6 stuks heb je meteen een ruime voorraad, wat het ook voordelig maakt. Fijn detail is de filterindicator, zodat je precies weet wanneer vervangen nodig is. Kortom: een betrouwbare en praktische oplossing voor lekkerder drinkwater in huis.
