How did I ever cook without a Sous Vide Cooker?
I am pleasantly surprised with the quality and performance of this product. Well explained instructions, easy to use, and operated as described. I purchased it with the bin that has an insulating cover to keep the heat constant. It adds a whole new dimension for cooking lamb chops, thicks ribeye steaks, and duck breasts.

Simple and works
No complaints. Works well. Heats water quickly. Simple to use. It's my first Sous Vide. So far I'm very happy with it. I like the simplicity of it. I see no reason to have wifi or any additional bells and whistles. Second pork butt is being sous vide right now. I checked the temp when it was set at 165 and it was 165.3 using a meat thermometer. I will add to this review it something changes.

Gets the job done
This is a no-frills machine that gets the job done fairly quietly. I don’t need to be able to control my sous vide with my phone. I don’t need a ton of “connected” recipes. I don’t need a bunch of buttons and controls and pieces that might break. I DO need a quiet sous vide that I can set easily and forget about until my food is done. I DO need a good clamp, easy controls, and a quiet motor. This one fits the bill. It does make a low whirring sound while in operation, and it’s most noticeable when you are within about 10 feet of it. It has one big dial to set temperature and time. The clamp is a sturdy screw-on type and fits a variety of vessels. Temperature stays consistent and overall does what it’s supposed to. The one annoyance is that when the time is done, it goes into a holding stage, but beeps loudly every couple minutes to “remind” you. If you don’t reset it or turn it off it will keep beeping loudly, so you have to really calculate your stop time when setting it. I would recommend this sous vide for anyone that has some experience and feels fairly confident with temperatures and methods.

Sous-vide Review from a First-Time User
I am a new sous-vide user. My goal is to cook good, tasty, healthy meals on my busy schedule. This machine helps me do that. The machine comes in good packaging to prevent damage in transit. I recycled the box. There is a preset to every degree so temp control is precise. The machine makes minimal noise and is easy to store vertically. My first meal with this unit was chicken in barbecue sauce for lunch. After breakfast, I filled a food container with water, attached the lid and Greater Goods sous-vide machine, clipped a pound of frozen chicken breast in the water, set the temp to 165F and let it cook for a couple of hours. When I checked the meat temp it was at 165, cooked and safe. I then put meat in a sealable bowl, added the sauce, and microwaved it for a couple of minutes to heat through. The food tasted good, was easy to prepare, and the left overs went into the fridge for another meal later. My second try was with Spanish Pallela from Costco. The Pallela came in a heavy duty plastic bag perfect for sous-vide. I set up the unit to 165F and the Pallela came out exactly to the directions.Pros: Meal prep is easy. Many foods come in plastic bags and are ready to cook in sous-vide. Sous-vide needs minimal watching, once an hour is enough. Foods cook to temp and do not burn. Clean-up is easy: the machine stays clean. The water and bags get recycled. The sous-vide is part slow-cooker, so meals can be started when convenient and eaten an hour or two later. The machine is fifteen inches tall and about three inches wide so it is easy to store.Cons: NoneNote: I bought the food container and lid at the same time from other companies, but the sous-vide will attach to any somewhat straight sided container.Disclosure: My sous-vide machine purchase price may be refunded to me for this "test" use, but not the cost of the food container and lid. I tell you true because I don't want to see anyone waste money and the return policy is a guarantee against waste. I think the price point is good and easy for most beginners and I did pay that price out of my own pocket.

Great for pasteurizing eggs!
Love this! We eat a carnivore diet, and making large batches of pasteurized eggs with this is easy. With pasteurized eggs, I can make a quick plain eggnog before running out the door, or I can just drink a pasteurized egg or two to finish out a meal.
