Small, simple to use & no bluelight
I know it's ment mainly for kids but if your someone with asd that loves a lot of book between the ages of 9-over (example: the best Alan Bennet reading A.A.Milnes Winnie-The-Pooh) , likes the beatles and or is having trouble finding the perfect e-ink radio then you'll love this ⏰️ 📖 🎶 I think it's a brilliant little bedroom audiobook clock with a huge range of music, books and educational podcasts to choose from. Very easy to use with bilt in Bluetooth. I like that is has a create your own cards In the apps section so if you don't find the songs or books you want to listen to then just download it from a different sight onto your blank card and your good to go. Because it has an eink screen this means you won't get eyestrain from the light at night.

We ummed and ahhed but it's worth it
We bought this for our daughter's fourth birthday present, and whilst she likes it, our six year old, nine year old and even our eleven year old love it more. We bought the Peter Rabbit collection (we have the books and they have been well read over the years), this is a great purchase for the Yoto. Different voices per story, some famous, some not. It's expensive at £30 but has been a big hit so far. We also bought traditional songs (has a lady bird on the front). These seem a hit with our kids, but they are US songs which don't exactly overlap. Baa Baa Black Sheep is different for example. It's cute though, so we won't send it back. We have yet to try the personal recordings, this sounds like a fun thing do, have Daddy read some book favourites and have his voice come through the Yoto whilst he's at work! The Yoto seems like an excellent birthday gift, as a shared gift or otherwise, I'd definitely encourage retiring your screens and getting them kids into this. You need a WiFi connection to set up stories but after that you don't need it. That's a plus in my book too.

Great for kids
We love our Yoto. We are super glad we got the Yoto and not the Toonie. The Yoto has more ability to do things. Our kids love Yoto daily! Would definitely recommend to any parent who has a kid that loves listening to books!

Best speaker
Having had a tonie box for my little ones I was a little hesitant to try the YOTO player but how wrong I was. My 8 year old needs noise to fall asleep and he is addicted to his yoto player now. He especially loves the interactive screen showing characters from the story he is listening too. Also unlike the Tonie box this one you can fast forward and rewind the story. Bedtime game changer for sure.

Easy to use
I bought this for my 7 year old and was worried it might be slightly babyish for her, but honestly it's a great buy and she'll use for a good few years to come. The sound quality is decent and its wasy enough for kids to navigate, and there's a bunch of free stuff such as radio channels and sleep sounds and the like, that you can use without the cards, which can be expensive. Its also easy to control also with use of an app on your phone or tablet. It has nice features like a night light, sleep mode that you can play sounds for a set time to go to sleep to, there's also an alarm function, my 7yo much prefers this to me waking her up in the morning!

Excellent sound Quality
I purchased this for my son with SLD. Previously he has been using the Tonie box aimed at younger children (which is brilliant), but we wanted to give him the option of music from Queen and the Beatles, so he now uses both. The yoto was so easy to set up, and the app is so straightforward to use. The cards are similar to credit cards and are easily inserted. The music sounds great. The bis has the time on, can be used as a night light. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who is thinking of purchasing this item.

Nice but pricey
Nice but the buttons randomly done work sometimes and the cards are very expensive on top of the unit itself. Good features like alarms and the kids worked out how to use it quickly.

They are inseparable, I wish we had one sooner!
My child loves audiobooks, I don't like tying up my phone to Bluetooth stories to a speaker or her headphones. The Yoto gives me so much freedom and her so much autonomy, she loves pulling the cards out and putting them in to change stories. I love that it is not connected to the internet and not really a 'screen'. Listening to stories is much better for her growing brain than just TV. She often plays with her toys, or paints/draws while listening. Sometimes when friends are over they listen together. We borrow books from the library for it, and we record ourselves reading stories for the Make Your Own cards. I love that I can make little pixel pictures to put on the screen for her. The user made content on Yoto Space is so cute, and also inspiring, there are some talented folks out there! She loves the cheery Yoto Daily podcast and the night music radio. Really I can't say enough, I'm constantly recommending this to friends with kids, best money we spent on entertainment and education in years.

Perfect for a 3 year old
I got this for Christmas for my 3 year old twins and they love it. They can change the cards and turn it on themselves and they love listening to the stories. The selection of stories is excellent. The bedtime process is so much quicker with the yoto player and in the mornings when they wake up they will turn it back on and listen quietly in bed until it’s time to get up for the day.

What a great toy!
Got this for my 2 year old for Christmas, so he hasn’t played with it yet. But I’ve set it up and downloaded some cards and the app, and I think it’s one of the coolest toys! I have been using the app to play our cards in the car so he gets familiar with them. Hoping that will make it even better on Christmas when he starts playing with it himself. It seemed a bit intimidating at first because of how much this thing can do and how many ways there are to interact with it, but after a few minutes of playing around with it, I had it figure out and I appreciate the simplicity of the unit and the advanced features offered through the app to help you customize it for your kiddo.

Yoto
Perfect for various ages. Great for bedtime stories, car trips and more. Easy to make your own card, listen to daily jokes and even has a Yoto radio (which changes to Christmas songs in December)

Couldn’t live without!
My 2 & 4 yo LOVE our Yoto player, it is used daily! My 4yo chooses a night story or songs to play as she falls asleep every night. Daily Yoto radio is set to start at 7am each daycare day to wake them up. Can also play a range of white noise and sleep sounds via the app to play none stop. I’ve set the colour to be red at night time and green during day so it’s essentially being a sleep trainer clock too. During the day, we will often take it to the lounge room/dining table and listen to music or stories during meal time or play. It’s really helps reduce our screen time to as often it was just on for background noise but now some days the tv is hardly on whilst the kids are up. Adventure jacket is a must in my eyes. Unless it was sitting on a shelf not being moved. But as ours goes between bedroom and around house the kids are always carrying via the handle. Also the make you own cards are fanatic, can borrow audio books from borrow box or other booking buying/borrowing sites and use for content for the borrow period. Or if you own albums can make them into cards too. Highly recommend to everyone!
