very good cage but know your animals minimum space requirement
i have had this cage for 5 years now and i feel like i should write a review because its been so nice. its not heavy so its easy to move, ive had zero escapes, its quite sturdy and still going strong after all these years, easy to take apart and clean thoroughly. i cant speak for the quality of the additional items like the ramp, ledge, water bottle, hay feeder bc i did not use these things but the cage itself is quite nice. i initially bought this for my hedgehog and it is perfect hedgehog size! if youre looking for a hedgehog cage look no further this is the ideal. it also fit her giant hidey bed, wheel, litter box, and food and water bowls. for a cage bottom liner i really like piggy bed spreads and highly recommend them. currently i use this as a cage for my rescue ferret but he only uses it when its bed time or i have to leave the house. its a great size for a single ferret, bed, and litter box however please keep in mind ferrets need space to run around and play and explore. ferrets tend to prefer multi-level cages but this will work as long as they get plenty put of cage time. during the day my ferret spends all its time in a large play pen. ferrets are excellent escape artists and i am pleased to say that we have never once had an escape using this cage. the doors are very secure! i think this cage could be suitable for a single guinea pig but i am not 100% sure their space requirements off the top of my head. guinea pigs should really be housed in pairs however so this may not be a good option. if youre housing a very small rabbit like a baby or a holland lop i think this is a suitable bedtime cage but just like the ferret this is nowhere near enough space to run and play so youll need a larger play area that they can spend majority of their time in. i think any rabbit bigger than 4lbs will find the space quite cramped and would require something larger. i do not know the care requirements for chinchillas but i would imagine this would be too small based in how active i know they can be. just remember to always look up the space requirements of the animal you are buying a cage for before you purchase and youll have a happy healthy little friend. but i can tell you with 100% certainty if you have a hedgehog they will love this cage!

Great Rabbit Enclosure
This is a great rabbit enclosure! Plenty of room for our one bunny to roam and play and comes with all the feeding accessories you need! It’s easy to keep clean and assembly was a breeze! It’s not very portable as it is very large but everything aligned like it was supposed to and NO missing parts! I love the accessibility of the cage, you can open the top or the front doors to get in to clean, feed and play with the bunny

Incredible value without sacrificing quality!
I still cannot believe the price for what you get. I have researched many a cage for guinea pigs over the years and for a great starter setup it cannot be beat. This setup should be a standard setup in the pet stores at this price point. I have had guinea pigs for many years and purchased the jumbo for two, 3 year old female guinea pigs, to be used as a traveling cage when out in our RV. They already have a guinea pig mega palace in our house but with two needed something that met space requirements. I like the bar construction and silver color as I have a chewer so it should be less noticeable when she marks them up but the bottom is high so hopefully she will leave most of them alone. I plan to use the deck as the feeding center as the large opening on the top will allow easy access for cleaning and for getting their food bowls, pellets, hay etc. in and out. Also the large opening at the top means that taking them in and out of the cage will stop them from getting their back paws caught in the bars as happens with other cages and smaller openings. Daily cleaning should be a breeze as well. I use cotton towels covered by fleece on the bottom and the deck will gets pee pads covered by standard guinea pig bedding. I have already tested their ability to negotiate the ramp and as reported by other reviews it is the one downside as it is very slick and mature gps are quite hesitate to use it even though mine are familiar with ramps covered in felt in their usual cage. Smaller gps will probably get used to it but mature gps can be a bit stubborn when it comes to new things and routines. I did modify the ramp using a piece of coroplast purchased from the local home improvement store (color is limited but much cheaper than online) wrapped it in felt and secured on the underside with double-sided carpet tape. Drilling holes at the top and bottom ….this is secured to to the ramp by zipties and does not move. It makes it much better and more solid for them and their weight. I also modified the upper deck area by measuring and cutting out coroplast which is attached to the 3 sides of the cage around the deck so they feel comfortable and hidden while eating. GPs generally will not eat out in the open and I did not want them to eat under the deck because they do fight over food or their special eating space. If they are being watched the dominant one will behave. This will also keep the bedding, their feces, hay etc. in the cage and not spilling thru the bars. This was also attached by using zipties. Finally I cut a piece of coroplast for the top over the deck again in the interest of their well being and being hidden while eating. In the future I plan to get a piece of cloudy Lexan for the top to make it brighter but had extra coroplast to use up. This was secured under the bars of the top again using zipties. Now I have a very functional deck which makes it easier for me to feed them, watch them and clean. I do not use hayracks as the gps just pull all the hay down and then burrow into it. If I did I would have had to cut one side of the coroplast shorter to allow for the hayrack and water bottle. I attached pictures of my modifications. Even with some modifications ...this cage is a deal!

NOT FOR RATS!!!
I had read reviews by others that this cage would work for rats... but unfortunately for us, our rats have been able to escape from it! At first I thought just around the corners at the top as the spacing is wider there - but then I saw one sneak through the regular bar spacing in the walls/ceiling. So no easy fix. A lot of money spent to find out that this then didn't work for us - so steer clear if intending for a rat. Note our rescue rats are 6 months old - so nearly fully grown - only a tiny bit more growth expected. A biologist friend says that the rats skull is the biggest spot - if they can fit their head through, they can squeeze the rest of themselves through. So not suspecting they will grow enough to stay put. Additional details - the ladder that clips onto the shelf - while it clips snuggly - it clips too snuggly. When taking it on and off to clean the cage, one of the tabs snapped off. It still works quite well with the one tab missing - and maybe I didn't quite have the technique of how to lift up the ladder to unclip it right, but be warned. I really wish this cage would have worked better for our rats - because overall it is a great cage with the two large access doors, the layout with the shelf, it is sturdy, easy to put together, etc. We are going to keep it for a bit longer - as we have positioned the cage so that our escape artists only seem to climb on top of the cage as there is no easy way down to the floor other than a big drop from where the cage sits. Fingers crossed we can make this work for the long haul! UPDATE: Additionally - the rats have started to chew through the bottom corners to create additional escape spots. We are now officially getting a new cage with a metal bottom and smaller spacing between bars. Expensive lesson learned.;-)

Perfect
Ordered 2 for our hedgehogs, they are huge! Probably too big for them, but they have plenty of room to run now! And pretty tall, needed taller one for the running wheels.

This is a much better option than expensive kaytee comparable
I have this cage and the similarly sized kaytee model. First of all, the wire on the amazon cage is twice as thick of a gauge compared to the kaytee cage. Naturally, this lends to sturdiness being drastically improved with the amazon cage. Second, and paramount, in my opinion, the kaytee cage has one small front facing - very flimsy door. You cannot even get a regular size dust pan through the door (this is what I use to clean the cages), because it is way to narrow and to short height wise. The one door is the only way to get an animal in or out, feed, ect. I’m a small statured person and I have a hard time getting in far enough to clean the entire cage out. I cannot imagine how hard it is for the average sized person. You’d almost have to disassemble the entire kaytee cage to clean it for the average person. The amazon cage, to my delight, has not only one- but two- double door entry points, that easily open and close and secure the cage ideally. When opened, its nearly without an entire stop or side for easy cleaning. You also have the option of only using one door at a time should you be concerned with the cage inhabitant escaping. It was seconds to assemble and came with extras. Here’s one of the best parts about this purchase... for the kaytee cage, I paid $109 plus tax. For the amazon cage (100% better in my opinion), it was less than $65 deliver to my door, four days earlier than it was supposed to come. I am an Exotics breeder. I have a cage from nearly every manufacturer around, past and present. This one, without question is both the best value and the best quality. Look no further if you need an animal habitat such as this.

Jumbo size for Mini Lop
Happy with this cage. The goal is to use it more like how you'd use a crate for a dog. Our mini lop gets to roam a chunk of the kitchen and is often playing with the kids, but when we are away or can't supervise (esp since he's not potty trained yet) he's in the cage. Once litter trained, we will let him come and go more freely. While it's on the larger size for 'rabbit cages' it's definitely not big enough for rabbits to be in 24/7, but he is happy while in there. To assemble, just read the directions and itll be smooth. We skipped a simple step and found it tricky. I do like how deep the bottom is for cleanliness (nothing falls over the edges), but its so high that the liter box and hay rack, water, etc are awkward on the bottom level for a smaller rabbit. It's not a problem, but a bit too high for my breed rabbit. I also wasn't sure about the opening on the front going out to the sides instead of down (which would create a ramp). It is a pretty big jump, but the rabbit can jump in and out of it so it works. And the actual ramp inside works great, no issues with slipping. So far, easy to clean. I just put some paper shavings and newspaper under the 2nd level where he can hide, but not all over the place. I thought hay would fall out all over the sides, but it hasnt. Easy to sweep or wipe up. Overall it's spacious - room for all the food, water, toys, litter box, hay,& hidey house. Other than a playpen style setup, this cage would be hard to contend with other options in my opinion. Great choice for your small animals!

Wonderful chick pen
I hardly ever write reviews, but this one was worth the time for me because of how much effort I put into looking for and purchasing other cages and things. After ordering the first time, they sent an entirely different item. Had to return that, which was annoying, but the sent the correct one the second time. We are using INSIDE for small batches, 12-18, of baby chicks after my children hatch them. This is working beautifully for this. No leaking and keeps everyone contained and protected from other critters and small children. Easy to clean. Having two access doors, top ana bottom, was a great design compared to other cages. Newly hatched chicks couldn't get out. That cage is lightweight and my younger children were able to set up and can easily move it around. They measured out the space for it before purchasing, and it was a perfect fit. The quality of the pen is good and I believe will hold up for many years. The only thing we added was a small cardboard nesting box inside the pen because the little chicks were a not as comfortable with such a wide space. We lay a blanket over the cage at night to hold on warmth and they do very well with this.

Love this cage!
Great Guinea cage. It fits well on a simple ikea table. We’ve been using it for 2.5 weeks now and we love it. Luke seems happier in this cage too. The one we used to have was one of those 2x4’ ones with the soft bottoms so we had to keep the cage on the ground. My daughter wasn’t cleaning the soft bottom one well enough so that created a fly problem. Once we realized what was causing the flies, we threw both liners out and I was able to find this cage online (I wanted one like this originally, but wasn’t able to find one in stock any where). All the flies are gone now so I’m very happy with this cage. It’s much easier to clean, especially with the dog pee pads lining the bottom. We replace them and wipe down the bottom weekly. Luke actually comes out and takes food from our hand, whereas before he’d just hide so he clearly feels safer in this cage with being up higher. He gets up on the green level no problem…and then likes to jump off of it for some reason. We haven’t put any of his old toys in yet because he seems to prefer just running in a circle around the stairs multiple times. The blue food dish has grippers on the bottom so that helps the dish from moving around. He did manage to knock it off the green ledge once, so I just moved it over a bit and it seems fine now. I like having the food up there so it doesn’t get shavings in it like in his old cage that was all 1 level. The water bottle works well. He drinks about half of it a day with no leaking or other issues. It seems to be a good water flow for him. It’s also super easy to clean and visit him because of the wide doors. I can stick my whole head in there if needed. Great design. No issues putting it together.

Parfait
Bravo !

Great Rabbit cage
Strong. Light. Easy to assemble. Sapcious enough for two rabbits. My children's pet rabbits enjoy running around inside the cage. My children also are happy. Only problem I have is the cleaning up of the cage floor. Rabbit's legs are soaked with their urine. Is there any accessories available to avoid this? such as a raised & grilled platform to fit inside this cage
